And again a remarkable hold from Bohemian Rhapsody as well as family releases and some comedies. Overall a fine weekend! Next weekend: The Girl in the Spider’s Web will probably be the biggest opener, but despite it being nearly a domestic production, it will be lucky to open in the Top3. FB2 and BR should stay safely on #1 and 2. 7

FB2 dropping -40% (-46%) wouldn't be bad at all. According to InsideKino it could be around 1,96M after the WE already whereas FB1 was at 1,655M (+18%). Fantastic Beasts 2 is on track for a 3,5-4mil total, and Bohemian Rhapsody continues with its sexy holds. Next weekend: Some interesting new releases. The Grinch will be the biggest opener, the Dr. Seuss books are no sellers here but after some movies, the character is a little better known. I see no chance at #1 but it might be #2 for the weekend. And Crooked House is a candidate for a >100k opening, too - even if the story is not as well known as more popular Christie fare. I don't know how many screens The House That Jack Built will get (they don't play it at my theater so I guess not that many) but there's not much competition at the moment for that genre so maybe a good PTA. 4
IndustriousAngel
many seem to think The Grinch might beat FB2 this weekend ... I'm not too sure, at my theater Grinch got more shows but presales are only half of FB2 today. Maybe it'll pick up over the weekend.

el sid
Still no Thursday actuals from Blickpunkt:Film. Could be due technical difficulties. I hope so, there's enough to dislike/worry about. I'm surprised that The Grinch could have 350k admissions. Looked much worse in the last days. The other two new movies, Peppermint and Crooked House will, according to the first trend, open under the expectations with 32.5k respectively 15k admissions OW.
