It will probably get a more wider release in the weeks to come, at the few places its showing its practically only sellouts.

IndustriousAngel
so Green Book will go up a bit - nice! LEGO otoh near flop territory for a big-budget family CGI movie.

How to Train Your Dragon 3 opened about a third higher than ist predecessor and might even reach 3mil total! The Lego Movie 2 on the other hand was a bit disappointing even if the number was expected (especially with two other family CGI movies in release …). Other releases had fine drops or even increases (awards food) - Green Book should see another slight expansion! Der Junge muss an die frische Luft is now the fifth and last 2018 release to gain blockbuster status … horrible year! Next weekend: Two domestic productions with possible "big" openings (in the 200k region) plus Happy Death Day 2U - and Alita: Battle Angel which might open in the Valerian region, let's say 250k - but might also come in a lot lower … there's no question next weekend's leader will stay the Dragons. 5
IndustriousAngel
opening night for Alita ... doesn't look promising here, probably below 200k in Germany going by my theater. The German releases (Sweethearts and Der Club der roten Bänder) make even less of a splash but that was expected.

IndustriousAngel
wow that's absolutely awful for HTTYD3 but ok, it had a much better start than part 2 so overall still ahead.

IndustriousAngel
final trend a bit better for most movies except "Club der roten Bänder" which seems pretty frontloaded (not surprising considering the target demo) - still, 300k for HTTYD3 is a drop of 51%, ugly.
IndustriousAngel
Monday update has HTTYD3 now with a 48% drop, at least <50% ... still, only 40k ahead of HTTYD2's total at the same point - might come in behind in the end despite the much bigger opening.
