In comparison: TFIOS before the movie: 1.2 million copies. Twilight 4 books, as of May 2010: 4.5 million copies.

Fullbuster
When do you expected it to came out? March? Given I don't care very much about the movie I didn't know its release date, I thought it would in May or June but not February! However it's a good thing, the BO can be boring at this time of the year so it will give some fun on these forums, particularly this thread given Brazil could easily become its biggest market or the second biggest behind the UK. Do you expect to watch it? Tell us

Well, the same people criticizing Twilight movies. Personally I'm not interested at all by 50 Shades but I won't criticize people who are interested in it. Why are they going to go to the movie for that???

Why are they going to go to the movie for that??? I agree, however women are probably looking for something else such as romanticism, passion and a slow pace...Something you can't find when you watch porn. Fullbuster
35M+. Maybe even 40M, next year we could have 2 Movies above 40M! Indeed, if The Fault in our Stars can get $31m despite a certain discretion in terms of marketing campaign you can be sure 50 Shades can easily beat this, $40m is perfectly possible. It's likely to get the second spot behind The Avengers 2 unless Star Wars or Fast & Furious 7 break out. Cinderella could surprise us as well given Frozen and Maleficent did well, there is a demand for this kind of product.
Mockingjay Raphael
I think the main reason why Maleficent have done so well was Angelina Jolie, I am expecting something like Oz/Snow White for Cinderella, maybe a bit more. Likewise, I don't want to watch it at all but its run could be very interesting, particularly in Brazil and the United States. I will be there that's for sure

I disagree, Angelina Jolie never was big in Brazil before, what would people suddenly go in theaters to see her? So Cinderella should be fine.
