Neo
BRAZIL - TOP 10 IN ADMISSIONS Titanic : 17.7m Tubarao : 13m Tropa de Elite 2 : 11.2m The Avengers : 10.97m Dona Flor e Seus Dios Maridos : 10.7m The Towering Inferno : 10.38m Twilight Breaking Dawn part 2 : 10.29m Ghost : 10m E.T the Extraterrestrial : 9.4m Ice Age 3 : 9.29m Can The Avengers 2 pass TA1 and Tropa de Elite 2 to become the third most viewed movie in Brazil? Let's hope so! FF7 entered the top 20 and it's not over for it I'll put this top on page 1. I will edit it at the end of TA2's run. Avatar? OD: Brazil ($3.4 million). Good or bad? Fullbuster
OD: Brazil ($3.4 million). Thanks Raphael. However I don't even know how it is compared to TA1 and FF7. But it's a great number that's for sure.
Lordmandeep
Goal of this market is to make as much as TA as possible in us dollars
Fullbuster
Fast & Furious 7 = $2.5m OD Given FF7 has the record OW it's absolutely HUGE. That's WONDERFUL! It's probably the biggest OD all-time!! Brazil  Edited April 24, 2015 by Fullbuster
Fullbuster
Goal of this market is to make as much as TA as possible in us dollars Honestly it won't equal it, it's not impossible but it's a huge task..The exchange rates is extremely disadvantageous (the local currency lost 50% to the dollar compared to April 2012 when TA1 got released). The OW all-time record is nearly assured though so it won't be disappointing
Fullbuster
$3.4m OD means TA2 got around 680,000 admissions OD, it's really big!
Lordmandeep
Comparison to Ta?
Fullbuster
With such an OD we can expect the OW to be around $15m...The current record ($11.4m for FF7) would be destroyed with such a number. I expected $13-14m and it was optimistic..So it is likely to go well beyond my expectations

I have no OD number for TA1 but it got $10.8m OW and it was the OW record before FF7 took it that crown. TA2 is clearly higher than TA1 that's all I know. Lordmandeep
That means a gross 50-60 million though which is not a bad drop from TA
Fullbuster
That means a gross 50-60 million though which is not a bad drop from TA Indeed, I see it in these waters However, in local currency it is likely to get the highest-grossing movie ever, so it's really huge. Fullbuster
Avatar's ADM: 9 007 390, behind Ice Age 3 LMAO Indeed, it benefited from much higher ticket prices that's why it's so high in the top in $, the exchange rates was very favorable as well. Mockingjay Raphael
F7 is now the second biggest movie in Brazil history with R$115M in 3 weeks, only behind Titanic. :o Edited April 24, 2015 by Mockingjay Raphael

Mockingjay Raphael
F7 made R$37m in It's OW, I'd say R$45m-R$50m for A2.
Fullbuster
F7's is now the second biggest movie in Brazil history with R$115M in 3 weeks, only behind Titanic. :o The Avengers is at R$130m
Fullbuster
The advantage for TA2 : the exchange rates => $1 = R$3.13 when FF7 got released on April 2 but for The Avengers it's $1 = R$2.97. By the way kudos to FF7, it will pass $40m, I expected it to stop at $37m so it's really strong!
