Shazam 2 OW: $4M, 32% below the first movie. 2nd highest overseas, just 400K behind China. Not a total disaster, but still...

Some totals: Creed III $7.3M, Quantumania $17.8M.

I feel Shazam could get better legs than Quantumania but will lose several screens to competition next couple of weeks and is going to be wiped out by the time Mario arrives. Still may finish with half admissions of what first one grossed.

Creed III is great and should go past $170M. Above Creed II in both lc and admissions.

Swordsmith Village should've crossed Mugen Train's total in lc and admissions. Tomorrow we'll see how close it came to reach Resurrection of F.

1. Shazam: Fury of Gods - $76.7M

2. Scream VI - $18.1M/$67.3M

3. Creed III - $16.8M/$134.3M

4. The Whale - $12.1M/$161.2M

5. Demon Slayer: In the Swordsmith Village - $12M/$90.3M

6. Cocaine Bear - $8.2M

7. 65 - $7.7M/$33.4M

8. 13 Exorcismos - $6.9M

9. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - $3.9M/$326.9M

10. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish - $2.3M/$511.3M

I'm wondering if

Super Mario Bros OD > Fury of Gods OW

Super Mario Bros OW > Quantumania full run

Scream VI is now the second highest grosser of the franchise in both lc and admissions and should become No. 1 before Monday is over.

Creed III has now beat its predecessor in lc and should make it soon in admissions as well.

The Whale couldn't increase due to lack of shows but it was able to remain flat and surpass $150M. It has pulled an amazing 8x multi. In lc has beat Mummy and Mummy Returns; which even considering inflation is pretty impressive as unadjusted they will be quite close.

In the Swordsmith Village is only $5M away from beating Resurrection of F. If Demon Slayer keeps growing then I think the final release before the saga ends is going to blow past Broly's $212M record.

Off to a great start for John Wick 4. Should pull an stellar PSA after adding premium screens incl IMAX unlike Parabellum which only had regular formats and a B-15 rating compared to hard-restrictive C for Parabellum. It does seem like it could challenge Fury of Gods' opening.

After a controversial release strategy local relase '¡Que Viva México!' from director Luis Estrada is arriving at 3,000 screens and an all-stellar cast. His last feature La Dictadura Perfecta grossed $189M back in 2014 although I don't think this time could pull it off. I'm betting on high 20s, low 30s.

Super Mario Bros remains strong on presales with still two weeks left before release. I still think it could become No. 1 of the year within its first 5 days. In advanced sales I'm seeing it below Toy Story 4 and way bigger than Rise of Gru; if walk-ups are just as great as any of them then we're in for a ride.

Great $4.2M OW for JW4, about 75-78M lc

Amazing for it. Nearly double the opening figures of Parabellum. Even removing the extra day that Baba Yaga had is still 70% ahead.

Seems like $77M and yeah, I don't think actuals will be much off from that by looking at early Sunday
