Purple Minion
And great $10.1M opening for DP2. So close to 200M lc!!!!
Carlangonz
• $190M+ for Deadpool's OW. Scratching $200M. Biggest for a May title and a Rated B-15 movie. $460M+ total. • Bigger than expected drop for Overboard, anyway should be over $380M+ by tomorrow. • Infinity War holds greatly enough to finish the weekend with a $1.09B+ gross.
Carlangonz
I'm kinda conservative with Deadpool 2, it really doesn't have competition. Solo only should steal screens, i think may be a dispute for No. 1 between it and DP2 next weekend. Good shot for Mr. Wilson to cross $500M total. As for Solo, it's going to open with 2,800-3,000 screens for a $55M-$65M OW, marketing is low compared to any of previous Star Wars installments, Disney has choose to focus on promote I2 as TV spots and ads on social media are starting to show up. manny1234
Even if IW becomes the highest grossing in LC would Coco still be the highest grossing in admissions because of the ticket price difference?

Purple Minion
IW actual up to Sunday: 1,092.89M lc, just 9M lc behind Coco; 20.4M admissions. Average ticket price for IW: 54 lc. Average ticket price for Coco: 47 lc. Unless CANACINE is missing sales, looks like Deadpool 2 was massively over-estimated. 4

Late afternoon and all night saw a huge decrease due to bad weather, debate among candidates to President and final of soccer league. EDIT. Yup, just confirmed and it's $166.4M for DP2 Edited May 21, 2018 by Carlangonz

Carlangonz
This thursday Infinity War is poised to dethrone Coco as highest grossing movie ever. Coco's reign only lasted six months and nine days and as surprising as it seems it isn't the shorter reign in the all-time top, that record goes to Avatar which held the No. 1 position for four months and a half before was beaten by Toy Story 3. Understandable things given the country is a fast-growing market but anyway a fun fact to share. 3
Purple Minion
This would be the table with record holders (hope I didn't miss any). Don't have Titanic's first run totals, but it would have hold the crown back in 1999.

I'm really curious about it. I've said before around here that besides Toy Story is the best aged animation in the country, mostly due to that superhero boom the recent years and buzz is really strong right now, teaser is the only one along with IW's trailer that surpasses 1M reactions on a FB spanish-speaking Latam page and spots and ads are starting very early to create even more awareness. @Purple Minion and i keep expectations on par with other Pixar sequels like MU and Dory ($20M-$25M) but i think it has everything to go for $30M+ USD.
