Purple Minion
Weekly figures. Soft OD for TMNT2. Civil War is now #5 all time in lc.
Purple Minion
Early weekend figures, usual sources (Screendaily, Deadline, Boxoffice.com): TMNT2 #1 with $4.5M, 25% lower in USD and 14% in lc than the first movie. X-M:4 $1.7M on third weekend, not that bad considering the steeper drop last week. Total is $17M (300M lc), very close to Zootopia for the year's #5 post. Alice2: $8.9M total, a 2nd weekend drop of about 55%.
Purple Minion
Weekend numbers here. TMNT2 4-day OW ended up being 18% lower in lc than the first movie's 3-day OW. Comparing 3-day openings, the drop is 26.4%; same scenario in audience. Alice2 should reach 225M lc and not much else. X-M:A's 3rd week drop is not as bad as its second so it will surpass DOFP's 316.5M lc total. Local movie QCTEN keeps its impressive pace with a light 15% decrease. Biggest disappointment is Tini, with a paltry $150K opening (wonder if it was only a limited preview?) Purple Minion
Weekly numbers. Am on holidays so can't post the full table, below some highlights: Conjuring 2 with a massive $1.55M OD Thu. Should easily win the weekend and, if it behaves like Annabelle, could pull huge numbers. Totals: TMNT2 $5.5M, Alice2 $9.8M, X-M:A $16.85M, QCTEN $13.1M, Angry Birds $6.85M.

Purple Minion
It's not in the weekly Top 10. Most probably released today Fri, or if it had Thu previews, distributor will add them ti the Friday/weekend gross.

Purple Minion
Massive $9M+ OW for Conjuring 2, easily in the Top 5 openings this year. Full details tomorrow.
James
Lol, that is an absolutely ridiculous opening. TC made 19m of a 4.3m start and Annabelle made 19.1m from a 7.6m debut. Can TC2 make 30m? Or at least 25?
Purple Minion
The multipliers are getting lower and lower, but $20M should be doable. Weekend figures: TC2 OW is the 3rd highest of the year (3 and 4 days), just behind CW and BVS. Movie 3-day 4-day Civil War 351,538,816 351,538,816 BVS 214,758,335 316,621,604 Conjuring 2 138,867,345 167,456,505 X-M:A 127,969,146 155,589,211 Deadpool 136,590,759 136,590,759 X-M:A passed DOFP in lc and is now the #4 movie of the year and among the Top 50 highest grossing movies ever in lc. Hologram for the King did alright, Ratchet and Clank flopped hard.
Purple Minion
Bloody IMDB and its unreliable release dates Finding Dory is released on mid July, not today. That leaves enough room to Conjuring 2; Warcraft is already out, then it's ID2.
Purple Minion
Conjuring 2 now up to 232,345,265 lc, a fgreat $12.7M total and close to 5M audience. Edited June 17, 2016 by Purple Minion Wrong ER to estimate Conjuring USD.

Purple Minion
Yes, no strong competition in sight until ID2. Warcraft did less than $0.5M on OD Thursday
Purple Minion
Early weekend estimates (Screendaily/Deadline/Boxoffice.com). Conjuring 2 repeats at #1, $3.3M weekend for a $16M total. Warcraft #2, $3.1M OW, nothing remarkable ('tis not a strong market for "adult" sci-fi or fantasy). Money Monster $0.7M OW, apparently it's "solid" (!) X-M:A had a $269K weekend for a $18.67M total. Alice2 total: $12.7M. Angry Birds total: $7.0M. Edited June 19, 2016 by Purple Minion
