I am happy about this announcement, but Dunk and Egg are set decades after the events of House of the Dragon. The latter is supposed to run for another 3 seasons, so will not end sooner than 2026/2027. Are they going to wait until then to release this? I can't imagine them doing two Targaryen-related stories set in different eras running in parallel.

I loved them, there were meant to be a much liighter look at the GOT universe.

Dafuq? The fact that this is much lighter in tone and happens after the events of HotD is gonna affect the gravity of that story.

 

Unless they hope to wrap up HotD in just 3 seasons with the third and final season coming before this... which NO!
