My Neighbor Totoro was first with $26M China vs $9M Japan back in 2018 China Release. 

 

Castle In The Sky was next with 2023 China Release.

Speaking of China, any idea when they might be released there? The re-releases of Miyazaki's other works have been so lucrative I imagine it could do really well there.

Yesterday it open in China with $13,8 (bigger than GxK) even shows starts at 6pm. Today it's looking to make over +$25 for the full day (biggest animated day for a non chinese movie).

It will, it's at $39 with 2 days. It's poyected to make $75 in it's first 5 days for a total of at least +$105 (it deppends on legs which seem are not great for anime in china)

Yes, it's hitting the rough celling, perhaps making it hard to look further but atleast 5-Days Forecast is easily crossing my initial though of $50M-$60M final
