The film intensively deals with hidden conspiracy and twists and its rhythm becomes rushed. But frankly I want sensual hooks like "thimble" scene a little more. I want the film makes me truly feel the passion and tension of the ladies's affections. But in the end, I was somewhat unsatisfied. While I did enjoy the film, I don't think it's Park Chan Wook's one of better works.

Warcraft 9,208 9. TJB 6,570 13. Born to be Blue (Ethan Hawke's Chet Baker biopic) 1,951 22. The Conjuring 2 469 rest are holdovers. Warcraft would come on top among the newcomers. Korea's a HUGE video game nation, after all. but then again, War's presales number might be inflating the predictions cause War's kind of a movie that would attract more dedicated fans then regular moviegoers, thus higher presales rate. TJB will have a staying power tho till Independence Day arrives two weeks after. I once thought TJB could do 3M~4M due to good WOM and not so tough competitions but now I'm not so sure anymore since there really doesn't seem to be any noticeable buzz being built around this one. Hopefully it can pull out Zootopia again. Slow and steady.
yjs
but for the team TJB $1B worldwide, Japan needs to do BIG numbers for that. I just can't see TJB do anything north $25M, not to mention $20M in Korea. Edited June 3, 2016 by yjs

yjs
Apocalypse 3M is locked. highly likely to take over Deadpool (3.3M/$23.6M) but would not go too far from there.

Rsyu
X-men: Apocalypse should reach 3M no problem. Last week it dropped 33% against new releases. A similar drop against this week's new releases should see it drop to around 20-25K admissions range. Projections based on that for the rest of the week should see it play out something like this. Thur: 22K Fri: 30K Sat: 75K Sun: 68K That should put it near the 3M by the end of the week. A potentially anomaly is Warcraft, which should provide fiercer competition for the similar target demo. I expect the final total will come slightly below deadpool.

I mean I didn't expect to see its presales being that low so I was shocked, but if it follows the regular blockbuster trajectory it has enough left in tank to reach 3M. Civil War had 180k weekend after its 500k weekend, then another 40k weekend before it's done. Will be similar for this one. DOFP had much better legs, shame that Apocalypse won't.

yjs
This week's three-way race is very interesting to follow! CGV, the biggest cinema chain which takes about half of the entire screens nationwide, provides daily realtime ticket sales data, and according to that the Handmaiden's #1 (42,972), Warcraft is close #2 (42,482), and TJB comes #3 (36,997). yet the Kobis presales data, which covers the all cinema chains, is the exact opposite and have TJB at #1 (68,203), Warcraft #2 (43,668), and the Handmaiden #3 (42,873). since presales are literally presales, it is a good indicator that TJB will do better on the weekend. But then again #1 is not guaranteed for TJB for the weekend since Korean films usually perform stronger at regualr ticket sales excluding the presales.
