ddddeeee
Love them. Kenneth Branagh and Guillermo Del Toro are brilliant at them, really make you notice stuff you otherwise wouldn't.
lab276
The LOTR Special Edition commentaries (with Jackson, Walsh and Boyens) are fantastic. They really go into detail as to how they approached turning the books into highly watchable films. As for non-official commentaries, I listen to Down in Front, who go in-depth into lots of different films, talking about what makes films work and what doesn't. fishstick
Depends on a movie and film-makers. I really loved the making of Avatar and POTC:COTBP audio with KK and Jack Davenport is some really funny shit. PatrickBateman
I used to listen to all of them in the early days of DVD, and would base my purchase on whether it had a commentary. Nowadays, it seems a lot of the directors I love, simply don't do them, or they are not included on the disc released, kinda sucks. Then again, later... a special-edition is usually released, which it is included on.
