Scream 4

This is easily one of my favorite horror movies of all-time. Love the Scream series. I would only maybe put the 1st Scream over it. Scream 2 & 3 are both good. However, just not as good as Scream 1 & 4. 

 

Also, I thought everyone gave really good performances and I loved the story. 

 

I would give it an:

Like I said in the Scream review thread, I really hope they make a Scream 5 someday.

Another horror masterpiece from Wes Craven.

 

Would love to see Scream 5.

I managed to convince myself that this was great for a while.

 

But really, it's pretty bad. Scream and Scream 2 were smart enough to stay one step ahead of the audience but Scream 3 and 4 are exactly the movie the first two spoofed. Worst of all is that it thinks it's really ahead of the curve with all it's meta stuff but it's really just an incredibly generic and stupid slasher movie. The cast are clearly going through the motions, the comedy is overbearing, also atrocious cinematography and poor score (not Beltraimi's fault though).

 

Disappointing end to a once great franchise.

Not that bad I remembered seeing this in the theatre opening night not as good the first but I still liked it better than 3. Grade:B+
