The Toymaker
I changed #57 on my list to "Take A Look Around" from "I Disappear". Both are from Mission Impossible 2, I just got the wrong one initially. Just thought I should let you know.
Walt Disney
If any of those are inelgible, and I think they may be, let me know and I will re-post the list.Great list. You did an excellent job. Only a few ineligible songs. Here are the list of ineligible songs:35. Living in America (Rocky IV)-Toughest song to leave out, but the single and album were released before the movie came out (even though they all came out the same year). So the song probably was not written to be in the movie, but was chosen because it was already popular, so it isn't eligible.86. Boys Are Back in Town (The Expendables)93. Anthem (Miami Vice)Other than those 3, I believe all of your other songs are eligible to be voted on.Edit: I was wrong about number 13. It is allowed to be voted on. Gloria Estefan was not the original artist and she did record her version of the song for the movie The Specialist. So it is eligible.Ditto for Don't Fear the Reaper. The Gus Black cover in Scream was recorded for the movie. So it is allowed to be voted on as well. The Toymaker
Ok. I assumed that if they were on the soundtrack, they were eligible. So, I will only have a list of 95. Is that ok? Just remove those five songs and bump the rest up as and where needed. Edited October 10, 2012 by Barney Ross

chasmmi
I think it says a lot about Eye of the tiger that I consider it (and thought it was) the Rocky theme, not merely the Rocky 3 theme.(Looks like peoples' time is up but secretly hoping a couple of sneaky votes for Matt and Trey may turn up in the last second)
The Toymaker
Looking forward to the list. I just hope it's not full of obvious and boring choices (like the Top 100 movie list was). I suspect if this list is bad, then it's down to people not caring as much and just repeating many of the ones from other peoples' lists, unlike the Top 100 Movies list, which was down to people being sheep.Anyway, looking forward to the list

Walt Disney
Living in America was written for Rocky IV.Thanks for the info., Baumer. That makes it eligible to be voted on.Chasnmi, people still have all of today to vote, so there is still time. I am going to count Sixteen 16's ballot, even if it is a day late because he has been workining on it. So there is still atleast 1 more ballot coming. The Toymaker
That's all I had to say "Living in America was written for Rocky IV" and it would have been allowed? hehe Great. So does that slot back into my list now, Walt?
baumer
I don't have proof of course, just recollection that Stallone approached James Brown to write a song for the soundtrack.
The Toymaker
Everything about it suggests you are correct. The single was released under the ScottiBros label (which released all the Rocky soundtracks) and the b-side was "Farewell" by Vince DiCola (who featured on the Rocky IV soundtrack twice. Glad it's allowed.

Walt Disney
Sorry I'm late!!! But I have my assignment right here!!! Great list. 2 songs didn't qualify, so I took them out. I bumped all the other songs up.The 2 that I took out were Johnny B Goode (because they used the original Chuck Berry version for the movie) and Chariots of Fire (because it's purely instrumental so it's more like theme music). Walt Disney
Dang! And I repeated "Let's Hear it for the Boy" @ #91 and #96.You can add 3 songs on the end of your list if you'd like. Or else, we will just keep it at 97. It's your choice.
Walt Disney
The voting is now closed for the top 100 movie songs of all-time and all of the ballots have been counted. However, there are some ties. I need your help in breaking these ties. So every morning I will post songs that are tied for a specific spot.Anyone can vote on these songs, whether you voted for the top 100 songs or you didn't . All you have to do is put the songs in the order you believe that they deserve. I will count all the votes and that will determine which one wins the tie-breaker. I won't tell you what position they are tied for, so you will only know that certain songs are tied. In case of a tie, I will subtract my own vote to decide who wins the tie-breaker. It's only fair, since I know the position that the songs are tied for.I can say this: one of the days that you vote, you will be voting to break the tie for the 100th spot. There are multiple songs tied for 98 and when you rank those songs, one song will miss the top 100 entirely.Check for the title: "Break the Tie" to know what threads are the voting threads.
