The Total Game 2012! Predict: THE HUNGER GAMES!!!

Here we go! A brand new year, which is sure to be full of surprises. I hope everyone joins in on this game and every week I'll be updating the scores if needed and the grosses of all movies. Then at the end of the year as a collective whole I'll figure out what the average was for each individual movie as well as all movies with 5 or more players on BOT for the whole year percentage wise. Let's get as many people participating as possible, so it accurately gauges this communities box office prowess!

It's simple to play. Just post how much you think the movies will make total, that's it! Easy right? So everyone should take a few seconds and play to get this game off the ground for the new year! Last year was this game's first year and we had over 50 players play at one point or another, which is outstanding for a brand new game and I look forward to making it even bigger this year!

We will only be predicting for movies in over 750 theaters as with limited releases most people would be getting the maximum points possible, so there's no real point to it. Keep in mind you lose points if you're off by a big amount, so strategy comes in here as well.

I've decided to change the points a bit from last year and this is how we will be scored. If anyone feels this is unfair feel free to make a suggestion, I'm open to all ideas.

Points structure:

Within 2m: 15 pts

Within 5m: 10 pts

Within 10m: 7 pts

Within 20m: 4 pts

Within 30m: 2 pts

Within 40m: 0 pts

Within 50m: -2 pts

Within 75m: -5 pts

Within 100m: -10 pts

Within 200m: -25 pts

Within 500m: -75 pts

We can always tweak this game as time goes on if anyone has any concerns and if you have any suggestion feel free to post your input. Now let's all have a great 2012 and see who really is the best yearly BOT predictor!!!
