If this was "The Most Intense Pre-title Sequence" I would agree, but I think you may be confusing pre-title to post title action sequence. They should have just stuck with the original edit and went with the first scene in the French bank as the pre-title sequence then the boat chase as the post title action sequence and not edit it down the way they did. By doing it the way they did, the tampered money/bomb/boat chase feels rushed and yet overlong. Despite that minor editing error, TWINE is an excellent film, right up until the bimbo nuclear physicist shows up. Then it all goes downhill pretty quickly. Anytime nukes are involved, the story usually takes on a dark and foreboding tone. But hey, this sexy chick in hot pants will help save the world from nuclear destruction! Yeah...maybe in a porno(The last line of the film belongs in one...maybe call it "Ten Inches is not Enough"?) But thanks for pointing that out.James Bond movies do not have to have the realism that Jason Bourne movies have. I don't see why you have such a problem with a sexy woman being a nuclear scientist. Should all sexy women stick to the catwalk? Are all sexy women stupid? Is that what you are trying to say? Please explain because I don't understand why you dislike it so. The movie did not comedic or silly in any way, it was still very much a James Bond adventure and I don't see a huge tonal shift at all. I think you are nit-picking as usual. It was fine for me, someone that understands Bond, but not for you, someone that adores Daniel Craig's Bond. Different tastes, and we could argue them all day. They completely differentiated Craig's Bond from everything before him with just a few lines, the black and white picture, and the most intense Bond fight scene up to that point that I can recall. And the cut to the credits just sealed the deal. To me, that's the definitive pre-title sequence in the franchise. And I *love* GoldenEye's. In fact, all of Brosnan's were solid I think. Yeah, TND is overlong, bland and not very entertaining after the remote control BMW scene. But you make a good point. Brosnan's films all start out great but fall off. Even GoldenEye to a much smaller extent. But DAD takes the cake, how can you go from the brutal beginning to escaping a satellite laser melting a glacier by way of improvised wind surfing?
