alee7915
However, if new film always open $10M+ on every Thursday or Friday(every single week) in China then it will be abnormal. Edited August 1, 2014 by J LO
Bob Violence
Why does China have movies in theaters for only one month. Don't their studios want to keep the movies in for as long as it keeps making them money? I don't think the regulators are likely to say no to a local studio asking for an extension, but most movies are already dead in the water before the initial thirty days are up, so I don't know how often they're asked. TF4 had local co-production partners, but it's still primarily a Hollywood movie (officially classed as a revenue-shared import) and the Film Bureau evidently didn't want it setting too much of a record. Archerdude
No word on Fox's previously announced 3D re-release of Ice Age 2? The Summer is coming to an end. Still a rather curious decision on why the 2nd film (not the first).
