It’s official. Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In has broken local box office records to become the city’s most-watched Hong Kong movie in cinemas. The martial arts movie raked in almost 1.6 million viewers since its premiere on May 1.

Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In has surpassed the records set by courtroom drama A Guilty Conscience last year. It received 1.53 million viewers although it still remains the highest-grossing film, netting HKD 115 million during its entire run.

 

Apparently Walled is now the most watched local movie of all time, beating Guiltily Conscience. This is a little unexpected to see Guilty Conscience to have higher ATP than Walled since Walled does have some PLF screen during its run, something that GC didn't have. I can only deduce that it is because GC was released during Lunar new year and hence cinema charged higher ticket price during that period.
