Jake Gittes Posted June 9, 2014 Share Posted June 9, 2014 A year after first seeing it I would name Before Sunset as one of my 10 favorite movies of all time. The other two are wonderful as well, but that film is perfection. Dazed & Confused is excellent too - it certainly doesn't work as well for me as it would for someone who went to high school in Texas in the mid-70s, but its storylines are perfectly weaved together and I appreciate how it refuses to romanticize the high school experience beyond a certain point, it's far more honest than most films of its kin. Unfortunately I haven't seen anything else yet, but I'll try to catch most of his films before I see Boyhood (which is by far my most anticipated film of the year).
