Yes, this film scared the crap out of me and Goodman is awesome in it.

The last action scene where its Man vs. Spider is amazing. Its a tough thing to pull of but it feels very Die Hard like somehow. One thing after the next, props to the team. I also love the first 15 minutes, its gorgeous.

a surprisingly good movie. Kind of felt like a mix between Gremlins and Jaws


The town setting, black comedy, and townspeople reminded me of Gremlins

Some of the suspense scenes, Jeff Daniels character clashes with authority, and his fear of spiders and him being the one to kill the main spider at the end reminded me of Jaws and Chief Brody. I almost expected Daniels to scream “smile you SOB!” when he fires the nail gun

I remember this film being out at the same time as Honey I Shrunk the Kids but I must have misremembered. HISK was 1989 and Arach was 1990.
