On an unrelated note, Tele, I recently watched the Black and Chrome Edition of Fury Road and it was... dumb? That movie thrives in part because of how beautiful the colors are, and despite everybody saying these black and white releases aren't just turning off color on people's TVs (and instead some long process where they decide what goes black and what goes white), that's really just what they look like lol.

There are like 13 different versions of this movie. I figure I'd rather just see original theatrical cut, but is there one version that's the gold standard?

I found Citizen Kane to be incredibly slow and dull, and the cinematography overrated. Yeah, whatever, "historical significance," I understand, but that doesn't make it amazing by today's standards. Don't @ me -------- Searched through every legal streaming service and also my TV for any scheduled showings and Blade Runner doesn't appear to exist. Well, I tried.

Was kind of anticipating a Mad Max: Fury Road type of affair. Had never seen the other three - not even heard of them. AND thought MMFR looked like trash when I saw the trailer in theaters. You know how that turned out for me. Unless this is a literal direct sequel, which case I'd just have to get around to watching the original at some point.

Conflicted about the trailer. Never saw original movie and have no idea what it's about. This trailer turns me off RE: generic futuristic CGI looking city art direction. The non city shots look great. Have no desire to watch Harrison Ford, really. Arrest me and lock me up for two years for blasphemy in Indonesia if you feel so inclined

I vaguely remember there being a long strike many years ago but I was basically five so I don't know what the consequences actually were. What would a strike today mean? Is The Leftovers going to suddenly stop airing next month? Is this rumored Fincher World War Z movie going to be put on indefinite hold? (BTW I do not like the rumor, ugh what a waste of his time). IDK
