  1. Damn, MTTSH isn't always wrong but this was more specific than the super vague "xyz actor is in talks with the MCU!" type stuff
  2. It's a bit more leeway since A: the musical is so famous and b; there is a part 2 but yeah they show a lot of the major beats
  3. MTTSH is not usually this specific so I figured this one was worth mentioning since it's not as vague as their other posts
  4. The singing is fine but God the regular acting (which is most of the trailer) is very bad. Though I am happy this trailer isn't actively trying to hide that it's a musical. Such a dumb trend.
  5. Grande seems absolutely unbearably terrible Also it's a bit moot since it's one of the most famous musicals of all time but it really is basically the whole movie in 3 minutes.
  6. Patti Lupone really doesn't care about holding back anything does she lmao
  7. This does also indicate to me when Iger talks about scaling the shows back he isn't including the animated stuff.
  8. They didn't have animation at either of the last two upfronts either. Though also keep in mind they always bring the big guns for advertisers so Disney usually doesn't anyways. But yeah we're probably not getting news on the animated front till SDCC
  9. So clearly they've split up the branding: Marvel Studios for the movies, Marvel Television for the live action shows, and Marvel Animation for the animated shows.
  10. Daredevil and Agatha casts are at upfronts. Won't be long now. Edit: Dominique Thorne too
  11. Oh yes, but distributors absolutely do, and while the movies actual budget is self financed the 100 marketing price tag attached to this is not.
  12. Yeah distributors didn't know how to sell it, and I can't blame them, because this trailer...doesn't actually tell people anything about what the movie is about
  13. I'm surprised they didn't even have like "from the director of The Godfather" at any point. I'm confident the movie will be good, which always helps. But if I hadn't read anything about the story beforehand, and you asked me to explain the plot or premise based on this trailer, I'd have no clue what to say.
  14. I'm confident the movie will be good and will be received well by critics, probably up for several major awards. I...don't really know how this plays with wider audiences for whom Coppolas name alone isn't enough
