Sneider says that the issue wasn't with Demayos work, but because he was insufferable to work with. I trust Sneider because he is an expert on being that type of person.
Disney also didn't love his Onlyfans but it seems his conduct was the bigger concern.
It was pretty clear from the way he was fired was that it's probably some issue with him behind the scenes, not because of how the final show turned out.
Idk why they'd decide to definitively end this one when it's the most successful of the spinoffs other than Spider-Verse. Especially when they seemed so dead set on Spider-Man and Venom
It sounds like whatever it is they don't want him doing press for the show. We might get more information at the premiere tomorrow, but my guess it'll be at most incredibly vague.
I mean we know one was fired and one left. We can speculate of course but I think other than some "no comments" on the red carpet tomorrow this is probably the last we hear of it anytime soon
...maybe? If this were like a live action project but an animated series it probably wont be. The article says there's a premiere event tomorrow, so maybe some questions will be asked then, but unless it's something criminal we probably won't know why the actual reason specifically is.
I don't know if it wins. Academy is stacked against Sci Fi. Messiah, from.my understanding, does play more into the type of stuff the Academy likes so it may stand a better chance, especially if they actually make it the finale.
Though if that one does comparable numbers one wonders if they may decide to just continue without Villeneuve
I could see a trailer during ad breaks but I don't think it'll be like Little Mermaid where it's a part of the actual show.
(Fun fact, apparently the actual Oscars audience was bummed about that because they didn't actually get to watch the trailer, it was only the broadcast)
