  1. Pushing 3D is a weird angle since I don't think it was filmed in 3D (Marvel tried that before once and everyone involved hated it).
  2. If it's the only option they'll take it, which is basically how pretty much all non avatar/animated 3D has worked for the last 2 decades.
  3. I've checked and it's literally only mine ughhhh. Maybe there was an error?
  4. I don't get why my IMAX specifically doesn't have any IMAX showings when the other ones do. And it's in the middle of Boston so it's not like a small theater that doesn't get big traffic
  5. Maybe it's just not fully updated yet but my local big IMAX theater doesn't have any listings for this, just Dolby and 3D. Does Twisters have some exclusivity deal?
  6. Deadpool 2 issues wasn't reshoots, it was the cut they used. The one that reportedly tested terribly is the "Super Duper Cut".
  7. We are two Deadpool movies in how on earth are people saying the r rating is hurting it
  8. Can we literally not even wait the 13 hours before tracking starts before we start having this conversation
  9. To be clear you are saying the "doing okay" would be the highest grossing R rated movie ever made
  10. Love and Thunder will be two years out by July. It really won't have any impact on Deadpool and Wolverine whatsoever. It's clear that Disney has very high expectations for this with tickets this far out. With everything it has going for it, it should hopefully meet them.
  11. The reactions to this are very clearly not like the receptions of the first two though.
  12. Also if it did love and Thunder numbers, it'd be below what Disney appears to be expecting, but that's only like a 20 mil drop from the last one
  13. Please, for the love of God, shut up with this. I really don't think anyone going into Deadpool 3 will care.
  14. It's not unheard of, but Disneys only done this with movies they know are going to be absolutely gigantic. It's absolutely unprecedented for an R rated film though.
  15. Yep. Marvel cleared out their cinematic schedule for the year and there's no sudden surge in the types of movies people previously said were being choked out at the box office by big releases like Marvel.
  16. Winderbaum also shed some info about the other animated stuff: Eyes of Wakanda is actually set in the main MCU universe and has the best animation they've had so far YFNSM is more serialized and long-form, very Ditko influenced X-Men 97 Season 2 is mid-animatic stage
  17. This is not a drill: it's for real. Get ready for two months of Deadpool Discourse
  18. Given how long it's been since they announced Season 3 my guess was this was planned for a while. Bad Batch was similar, it recorded it's series finale before Season 2 even released. Question is what this means for the other 2024 animated releases. Spidey was reported for late October/early November, eyes of Wakanda is shorter like Tales of the Jedi/Empire so that may just be all at once. Maybe What If around July?
  19. Sounds like What If season 3 is planned to be the last one. Also apparently coming out before the other animated shows, which is interesting.
  20. Tried to find any point of comparison for tickets going on sale so early and the only big one I could find is the Star Wars sequels which were October for December.
