  1. So basically quick update on everything: What If...? Season 2: Releasing sometime during "the holiday season", presumably this year in December. Season 3 underway. Echo: Deep in post, releasing in January. X-Men 97: Season 1 episodes being finalized, Season 2 underway. Agatha Darkhold Diaries: In post-production. Witches Road: Reportedly filmed during production of Agatha. Deadpool 3: Resuming filming soon, rumored to be screening the footage theyve already shot and edited during strike break. Spider-Man Freshman Year: scheduled for late 2024, Sophomore Year presumably in early development. Marvel Zombies: Unspecified 2024 date, presumably still in production Daredevil Born Again: At "Day Zero" per new directors, some unclear amount of footage to be kept, new scripts being written. Presumably 2025. Ironheart: In post, delayed to 2025 pending possible reshoots. Captain America Brave New World: Delayed to 2025 pending reshoots of 3 sequences across a 5 month scheduled reshoot window. Wonder Man: Unknown, began filming first episode a month prior to WGA shutdown and TV side revamp. Vision Quest: Unknown. Fantastic Four: currently casting, set to film in Spring Thunderbolts: Delayed to 2025, presumably for the purpose as adding as many crew of the Netflix series Beef as physically possible. May secretly be Beef Season 2 in disguise? Blade: Undergoing rewrites, unclear which writer is most current (I'd assume Pizzolatto?) Now R rated Spider-Man 4: in writing stages. Release date schedule at Sonys decision. Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars: getting new writers. Who? No idea.
  2. I highly doubt they're changing plans now. It's been very credibly reported Marvel is doing some sort of adaptation of Children's Crusade, which lines up with all the Young Avengers members they've set up (though admittedly several of the YA theyve set up weren't involved in Children's Crusade, like Chavez, but still). I'm almost certain that it's going to be for Disney+, even if it's also been teased in the movies. as for the actual team name IDK, Kamala is more associated with the Champions, but the rest are all various iterations of Young Avengers, or maybe they'll just call it flat out Childrens Crusade. But it's very very clear that it's happening.
  3. Inhumans is actually a perfect example of what I'm describing. They got a big push because the movie was, at the time, still happening. And yes, from that push came Ms Marvel...which was the breakout success of that initiative.
  4. No, I don't, which is why the Guardians suddenly appearing in a bunch of things right after a movie begins development is not a coincidence.
  5. Feige was talking about the movie being in development as early as 2010. Perlman worked on the earliest drafts in 2009. So no, it was not a coincidence.
  6. ...they started appearing in other media because of the movies development.
  7. All the characters in the cast have been Thunderbolts except Red Guardian and Yelena, and even with her it's just a different Black Widow instead of her.
  8. Not really. Actors play young all the time. Tom Holland played a character who was fourteen in Civil War. Plus they might just use a different name like Champions if calling them Young Avengers is that much of an issue.
  9. Miles was in the Champions with Kamala...but I don't think they'll go that way. Every member they have on deck for that team except America Chavez was introduced on Disney+. I'm almost certain it'll be Jac Schaeffer. Hell now that they're focusing less on miniseries, I could see them having two or three seasons of Young Avengers on Disney+.
  10. Not really. Indiana Jones was late June and had a trailer there last year. Last year also had a poster for Blue Beetle. And up till recently it was planned for May. With how much CCXP is growing, I don't see Marvel skipping it outright.
  11. A very premature declaration about a movie that has not shot a single frame of footage and does not release for two fucking years to say it's the same as Origins.
  12. The reviews for the Marvels largely say she's the highlight of the movie. Do you think removing the character nearly everyone liked most would have improved the reception somehow? Nope, there are reviews for the entire series. Not as many as for the ones that are sent as press screeners, but they are there, and they're still consistent with the others. Marvel has clearly no plans to jettison Ms Marvel despite how unpopular she is with the Box Office Theory forum.
  13. Why? Shows with far worse viewership than Ms Marvel stick around with far worse critical reception. You want to see an actual example of a Disney+ bomb? The Willow series.
  14. Ms Marvel is the best reviewed Marvel Studios release. Full stop. Including Black Panther. The reviews for The Marvels, even many of the negative ones, praise Iman Vellani specifically and say they think she steals the whole movie. This random hatred that this board has for Ms Marvel, insisting that she's a character who everyone hates, is not reflected by reality outside of it.
  15. Nobody, nobody, gave a single shit about Iron Man before the movie came out. Nobody cared about the Guardians before their movie came out. The vast majority of people did not know who the Avengers were before the movie came out. Just assuming that nobody will like a character because they're not already famous is idiotic. This isn't DC where they just reboot Batman every three years.
  16. They aren't going to just constantly reboot Tony Stark every two years. Some users on here just got to accept there's going to be new characters sticking around.
  17. I doubt Young Avengers is a movie. My guess it's part of Jac Schaeffers growing corner on Disney+
  18. RPK yes, Handle no but this isn't original reporting from them so it isn't a factor
  19. Since show the strike is over, I wonder if we'll get a trailer, or at least a title, for this at CCXP in a few weeks. They didn't have any Disney+ presence last time, so they might not this time, but if theyre going it'd be surprising if they had nothing for Deadpool 3.
  20. Lol half this article is saying "Killers of the Flower Moon doesn't count as a bomb because Apple makes money outside of movies", a ridiculous comparison to Disney, theme park empire.
  21. Well the idea is introducing new characters and giving them a shot. Shang-Chi, etc.
  22. "There's no buzz for this movie that is two years from release. If people aren't already buying presales a year before the first trailer, it's a flop"
