  1. I didn't think Exodus was atrocious at all. It could be another Kingdom of Heaven DC if they ever released a DC.
  2. It looks like my kind of movie, but I don't think it's going to make much money.
  3. the tone of Trick R' Treat without the blood/gore and sex would be perfect for a Goosebumps movie. The story line involving the kids doing the prank in particular reminded me at the time of old Goosebumps tales.
  4. why don't the marketers take actual images from the film itself for posters? I was thinking this when Exodus came out with those god awful black and white/gold posters of Bale. You can literally pause any moment of a Scott film and see something beautiful, same can be said about many other directors and films. Then you can put the title and so forth on there.
  5. hey Batman Begins was awesome and wanted and very cool to see Bruce Wayne attain the skills to be Batman. This movie however, I feel I will like it, while most others will hate it.
  6. Someone on the Martian board on Imbd saw it and said it was just as good as Interstellar and Gravity but in different ways, the humor of Watney and his ingenuity mainly. Another person commented and really liked it too. Awards watch (on imdb) and AWF are definitely biased against certain people and stan (am I using this word right?) for others. I don't take anything they say too seriously regarding quality of films until later on in the year. To me, the moving up in the schedule is the best signal of quality. Also, it was a very rough cut at the screening, and not very long after they wrapped filming. Scott will tinker with it some more and get the visuals done and it will probably be an awesome movie. I have a good feeling about this one.
  7. I thought the trailer they showed here was hilarious http://collider.com/masterminds-trailer-galifianakis-wiig-and-wilson-are-stupid-rich-criminals/
  8. why you always gotta threaten people with banishment when someone disagrees? Your such a punk. Do yo really think anyone gives a fuck if they get banished from this site?
  9. I've been thinking the same thing. I wonder if it doesn't get pushed back to the Spectre/Skyfall release date in November. And then they could release The Great Wall in the summer maybe? Just switch the two Damon film release dates.
  10. I know a lot of people were predicting it to do around 90 million a while back. Jay Hollywood said I don't think so.
  11. Exodus had so many different groups of people hating on it. There was the atheists that just can't enjoy a fictional story, then there were the bible thumpers who thought is was sacreligious and not accurate enough, then there was the people who thought the whole thing was racist because A the main characters were white or B the Egyptians weren't portrayed as black people. Plus the critics totally hated it. That movie had nothing going for it except the visuals and Christian Bale I guess.
  12. well between the prank # and nearly 300 people posting or looking in the thread it's kinda hard to stay caught up
  13. The original was the biggest movie of all time when it came out, people forget how huge that film was I think. The sequel broke the opening weekend record and ended up not being liked very much, yet, the third one still did bidness at the box.
  14. hopefully it's the The Martian, a man can dream can't he? lol Or actually, BOND for a billion again. Great year for box office.
  15. WOW, I remember people doubting how huge this movie could be, I and many others just said look at the WW gross of the original... the guy with the Jeff Goldblum avatar is laughing at the doubters right now.
  16. Does this place still have the trailer reaction thread or whatever it was called? Anybody know what I'm talking about?
  17. Bridge of Spies I think is going to be a moderate hit unless it gets the award season legs (same with The Walk), thinking 55-75 domestic. Pan is weird looking children's film, Crimson Peak is horror, so those two are going after different demos. Steve Jobs.... Doesn't have Fincher, Leo, or Bale attached, don't think that will be a big hit unless it gets the award season legs like the aforementioned. Plus I think something opening on the same weekend with The Martian will move, London has Fallen should just move to next year, Feb. perhaps.
  18. This is a good move. Argo, Gravity, and Gone Girl all opened in the same slot and had great commercial and critical success. Plus, are we forgetting how packed Nov. 25th was? Creed, The Good Dinosaur, Midnight Special, Seth Rogen/Joseph Gordon-Levitt comedy and Hunger Games just 5 days before.
