  1. I would say between $2,3-2,6 mln.Thing is that exchange rate between PLN and $ changes very often throughout weeks. When Skyfall opened with 30 000 admissions less than BD2 it still scored 2,5 mln, but then the rate was 1$=3,16 PLN.Yesterday's rate stood at 1$=3,3 PLN. Friday's or Saturday's rate could be used though, which were different. So it's really hard to say. BD2 number might either be over or under Skyfall.
  2. BD 2 sets a record opening not only for its franchise but also establishes the best opening result this year with 420 000 admissions. That's over 90 000 more that BD 1 opening weekend in 2011. Surprisingly that's more than DH 2 scored in its opening weekend last year.
  3. Also in Poland the movie has set a record for its franchise with 420 000 admissions. It also established a new opening record for this year, beating Skyfall's result(390 461) from 4 weeks ago.BD 2 result is also way better than BD 1 opening number(334 223).In $, that's over 2mln opening but can't tell if it's gonna replace Skyfall's $ opening weekend. The current exchnage rate is far worse than couple of weeks ago, also most of those who saw Twilight are youngsters unlike Skyfall. The tickets are just more expensive for adults.
  4. Just stunning, the Impossible's box office run is one of my favourites this year alongside the Hunger Games(domestic one) and Skyfall(worldwide), which isn't doing that bad in Spain. Good to see that too.
  5. No, it has nothing to do with the film. It's just you being pressed about this film doing some business.French movies aren't the only ones that can appeal to people's taste.Claiming that Spaniard massively rushed cinemas to see The Impossible in order to compensate for their country's crisis is kinda lame. It's the film's well written script, the story depicted that catches viewers' hearts and already praised acting that makes this movie so popular.
  6. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D took 1 093 158 zł from the cinemas and had 49 528 admissions. That gives it a best opening for a horror film. Meanwhile Asterix and Obelix had 109 509 admissions this weekend. That's a better opening than Mission Cleopatre in 2002. No actuals for Skyfall yet. If the somewhat close to the estimates(5,7 mil $, )then it would mean that the Bond would have already had around 1 mil in admissions.
  7. Don't know about the whole continent, but I've got this: Goblet of Fire grossed 310,411,785 in the EU alone. Chamber of Secrets grossed 280,696,783 in the EU alone. Because of the lack of datas the partial gross in EU for Sorcerer's Stone stands at around 275,917,421. Keep in mind that these results exclude the countries, which joined in 2004(for HP1 and HP2) and 2007(for the HP4) Back to Skyfall, it's doing montrous OS, especially in Europe. WOW!
  8. Looks like it wasn't a coincidence with wednesday box office results. The imposible took the 1st spot again.A glipmse of what I saw at Rentrak twitter today:TOP 10:1. Lo Imposible2. Skyfall3. H.Transylvania4. Sinister5. Argo6. Tadeo7. Looper8. Fraude9. Ladron Palabras10. Paranormal Activity
  9. Which film have you just come back from, Skyfall or The Impossible?
  10. Isn't thursday a holiday in Spain?Thought it would ensure the Bond movie a first spot.Surprisingly, it must've helped Lo Imposible more than it did to Skyfall. That film doesn't stop impressing me, what a beast
  11. I know, right Anyway, obviously the film is having an incredible run fully deserving so. Certified fresh on RT and has a good wom not only in Spain. Hope it'll cross 40 million €.
  12. ^IKR, They should watch exclusively Hollywood made movies like the Avengers, the ASM or Men in Black.Domestic ones aren't worth seeing
  13. Still pretty much impressive either it does or doesn't surpass Titanic.Over a 30% drop after that record breaking OW followed by that great hold during 2nd weekend.Had it been released when exchange rate was better( like 2009 with Avatar) its $ gross would be higher.
  14. Good hold.So what are we looking at when concerning its final gross? Is Titanic's € cume in danger of being beaten?
  15. Its opening in Poland (2,5 million) would be this year's best. Very surprised with this result
  16. POLAND bowed with $2.5, more than tripling the opening weekend of Casino and besting Quantum by 67%. omfg, if that's true Skyfall opened with the biggest number of the year so far, both in cash and admissions. Many shows were sold out this wknd, but I never thought it'd be so big. http://www.hollywood.com/news/syfall_james_bond_box_office_international/43177976
  17. Any feedback on how Lo Imposible has been doing throughout the weekdays? The wom seems to be quite good for the film.Hope it doesn't have a big drop this wknd
  18. Have to waint until Twilight Saga:BD part II and the Hobbitt to see foreign films making money in Polish cinemas. No movie seems to be capable of taking on Jesteś Bogiem. Its impressive run continues with another great weekend. After just 10 days of release the film has 871 452 admissions. Top 15 best results after 2nd weekend since 2008. 1. Madagascar 2 1 135 692 admissions (including pre showings) 2. Shrek Forever After 1 086 480 admissions 3. Ice Age 3 1 013 321 admissions (including pre showings) 4. Avatar 1 010 288 admissions 5. 2012 971 598 admissions (including pre showings) 6. Madagascar 3 930 655 admissions 7. Jesteś Bogiem 871 452 admissions 8. Lejdis 861 920 admissions (including pre showings) 9. Kochaj i tańcz 799 781 admissions 10. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 767 627 admissions 11. Listy do M. 755 301 admissions (including pre showings) 12. Ice Age 4 744 508 admissions 13. Och Karol 2 737 508 admissions 14. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 717 373 admissions 15. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 702 647 admissions Foreign movies Polish movies
  19. Polish film Jesteś Bogiem got 373 796 admissions this weekend, which is third best opening result among Polish films in last 20 years. It's also the best opening this year, surpassing Madagascar 3 (332 148). Animation had a 3D advantage though, so it will be a close between films in terms of $ opening weekend gross. OTOH, the exchange rates are now far better than in August.
  20. During its opening weekend in Poland Ted has had 91 227 admissions, which gives 1 836 173 zł. That would translate, given the current exchange rate around ~ 570 000 $, which is a decent opening I would say.
  21. Top 5 this weekend. 1. To Rome with Love 75 559 admissions -32% since last wknd 288 000 total admissions 2. Brave 65 985 admissions -20% since last wknd 417 800 total admissions 3. Madagascar 3 63 732 admissions -20% since last wknd 1 579 444 total admissions 4. Total Recall 42 572 admissions new 5. Expendables 2 34 308 admissions -43% since last wknd 147 200 total admissions Madagascar 3 has surpassed Ice Age 4(1 507 090 admissions) to become the most popular film in Poland so far this year. Might remain its "title" unless Hobbit draws big crowds in cinemas, which isn't that unlikely.
  22. Poland once again has fallen in love with Woody Allen."To Rome with Love" opened with 112 264 admissions beating former opening weekend record holder among Allen's films (Midnight in Paris, 104 510 admissions).A decent result considering the weather. It's been quite humid and sunny lately.
  23. Sorry i didn't reply, I've been very busy lately.Usually wknd numbers are given on Wednesday, except for big openers.OTOH great opening for Madagascar3- 332 148 admissions. Best result this year, 40 thousands over 2nd best Puss in Boots. With 3d boost its opening will be sth like 1,9-2 mln $ I think, maybe more, depends on exchange rate.
