  1. Well in Germany for example CF is looking to triple the THG OW numbers.
  2. gurl, do the mathsTHG OW had 453,067 admissionsCF OD had +200 000 admissions
  3. Saw it last night with a friend of mine and boy, it was good, it was soo good!Felt the excitement throughout the whole film, all cast did a great job imo, with J.Law giving a top-notch performance. The portrayals of Effie, Peeta, Caesar, Finnick and especially Johanna(whose lines got me cracked up) were great too.I also really appreciate the makers staying true to the book material, some of the lines were even exactly the same. One of the best blockbusters I've seen this year on a big screen.A.
  4. Great jumps in Europe so far, knew it'd do well here
  5. Exhibitor Relations ‏@ERCboxoffice THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins its tour of global BO domination, lighting up $6.3M in Brazil--more than double the original. Really solid, good number for CF imo kinda hoped it'd do a tad more, but given the shitty exchange rate I'm pleased with its opening there.
  6. Great opening # for Gravity with its over 6m result imo! hope it gets good legs too
  7. Came in hoping for a good hold for Gravity..... And YASSSS :circles: Go Cuaron, space, shuttles and Sandra's legs !!! Thor doing around what I had expected. Not a great number imo, but still nothing to sneez at, it's a decent number for it.
  8. The Dark Knight Rises is better than The Dark Knight. Alice in Wonderland is actually a decent film.Toy Story 3 is overrated. All 3 films in the orginal POTC franchise are good entertainment. Neither DMC nor AWE sucked, they're great.
  9. don't get too excited, i'd trade him over you anytime and anywhere
  10. 1. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire 2. How to Train Your Dragon 2 3. Machette Kills4. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug5. Elysium6. Despicable Me 27. The Amazing Spider-Man 28. Thor: The Dark World9. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones10. Noah
  11. DH1 imo. That film is actually one of my favourite ones among the Potters, still remember seeing it at the cinema, which I enjoyed immensely.OTOH as much as I love LOTR and as big of a fan I am, I still can't get over at how disappointing TH1 was, by LOTR standards of course, since I'd say it's a decent movie but it still pales in comparision to its predecessors. It doesn't stand well against DH1 either, so I'll say that Potter is better.
  12. First time I come across an information that TA got released on May 23rd last year. :PIf anything its late legs show the appeal among broader than expected GA, many posters here got caught off-guard on how well it was performing after it had opened to such a ridiculous OW.As for the IM3, given its OW it really should've performed better as those talks about outgrossing TDKR were pretty much justifiable imo, but again man no one can downplay its success both DOM and OS, 400M DOM is still a very respectable club, that many, many hits failed to join throughout years.....but IM3 as huge hit as it is, appears to be somewhat frontloaded though.
  13. And where does it say that CF is locked to make 400m?There's a slight difference betweeen "having a chance" and "being a lock".The only locked thing for right now is you saying that CF is not a lock to make 400m over and over again.
  14. See that angry lady behind, that's BO or rather lack of it for STID
  15. Star Trek got its wig snatched hopefully it has a great jump tomorrow to compensate Oh and seeing IM3 overperforming on the weekends and flopping in the weekdays got me confused soooo much
  16. Avengers effect in its full force guys here in Poland as Marvel movies haven't been big here at all before, but it's changed. :wub:Iron Man 3 opened with 235 000 admissions for a 4 day weekend. It has already surpassed both IM1 and IM2 and stands for almost a half of what the Avengers made throughout whole run, as far as ticket sales are concerned.
  17. Quite a while since I posted anything in this thread but man, about time I did so with recent Iron Man 3 opening in Poland. In its first 4 days of release, from Thursday to Sunday it made 235 000 admissions, which is a great result. It already beats whole runs of either IM1 and IM2. Don't know the breakdown for singular days and it remember it counts for 4 days instead of a regular 3 day ow. Comparision: Iron Man 3 - opening weekend(4 days) 235 000 admissions Iron Man 2 - opening weekend 56 418 admissions; 200 644 admissions for a whole run Iron Man 1 - opening weekend 32 095 admissions; 133 992 admissions for a whole run The Avengers - opening weekend 125 751 admissions; 502 053 admissions for a whole run
  18. Yasss!Even if it's typical "not a record" or a "hefty decrease" talk
  19. That gif of Ianto crying in the rain and a comment below that said sth like "someone toss a bread to him".......that was some epic shit.
  20. Don't raise your expectation too high, since superhero movies never did big numbers here. Heck, even the Avengers made only $3,17 mln, but that was because of rather an unfortunate release date.I'll say 1+ OW and 4+ total, but it still can see a breakthrough though, not that it didn't happen before
  21. 1. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire2. Star Trek Into Darkness3. Hangover 34. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug5. Fast and Furious 66. Man of Steel7. Thor: The Dark World8. Mortal Instruments: City of Bones9. Despicable Me 210. Monsters University
