  1. John Cusack recently came to Russia for the local premiere and even was on a popular TV-show like a big star.
  2. 5 months after US release and mostly unknown property. The Muppets were doomed from the start but $600 per screen is still a disaster. The Raven is a bit a tough case. It is released through local indendent distributor and I really doubt they could manage promised 1200 screens. They thought it might be a cool sleeper hit here but our theaters were not impressed at all. Pretty much the same for the general audience.

  4. Titanic 3D should gross around $3-3.3m for the weekend. Maybe even more. American Reunion around $2.5 mln. 21 Jump Street might gross $2.3-2.4 mln. Cabin in the Woods $1mln or slightly more. Dark Tide and The Muppets horribly bombed. No news from The Raven.
  5. Thursday estimates1. Titanic 458,000 (-38%)2. Amrican Reunion 379,000 (-58%)3. 21 Jump Street 369,0004. Cabin in the Woods 156,0005. Wrath of the Titans 151,000 (-70%).
  6. It was all-time number 1 for some time with $15.9 mln. Using average ticket price it should have around 4.85 mln admissions.
  7. Rather strong December with two huge local blockbusters: Vysotskiy (27.19 mln) and Yolki 2 (19.85 mln). And 5 weekends in 2011 instead of 4 in 2010 also helped very much.

  9. 2008 135.421 mln2009 142.514 mln2010 164.786 mln2011 172.156 mln These numbers are for calendar year. Fiscal year is from December to November. Last December was very stong so actually for fiscal 2011 year admissions slightly decreased here.
  10. Average ticket price in Russia 2004 90 RUB = 3.25 USD 2005 105 RUB = 3.8 USD 2006 120 RUB = 4.6 USD 2007 135.4 RUB = 5.3 USD 2008 166.6 RUB = 6.7 USD 2009 169 RUB = 5.31 USD 2010 194 RUB = 6.3 USD 2011 220 RUB = 7.09 USD Last week with Titanic and Wrath of Titans average ticket price was 242 RUB or 8.35 USD. Generally ticket prices for 3D and IMAX might differ depending on city. Usually they are much higher in Moscow and significantly lower in provincial cities. Could be up to $13-15 for 3D and $20-23 for IMAX.
  11. Actually the turning point for this growth might be very close. The ticket prices are already too high. Too many wide releases with enormous screen count are killing each other. Most of the new theaters are in the same big cities. It is not very good for business to build a new theater in cities with 100-300k population.
  12. By 31.12.2011 2726 modern screens in 928 theaters. 1472 digital and 1434 3D. 19 IMAX.
  13. No. We have reliable numbers only since summer of 2004. Reasonable estimate for RoTK would be somewhere around 4 mln admissions. But all numbers before 2006 also mostly include Ukraine.

  19. Actually the screen count for it might be much lower than in early report. Like 700-800 screens or so. Our local distributor believed that the movie could be at least a midlevel hit here. But now the distributor backed down a lot. The theaters also were not really impressed.
