  1. busy for us on Mrs Brown.. busiest we've been for ages actually. i always hated it on the tv but i've been watching bits and pieces and it is actually quite funny
  2. Interesting.. got any actual numbers for anything? I'm guessing Fault is looking at maybe £4-5m for the weekend then? (including the previews)
  3. Bit quiet in here lately. Everyone watching the football? We had a good day on Fault In Our Stars yesterday and Jersey Boys was also steady.
  4. bet it wouldn't be getting them if it was a regular Friday opening. the Saturday opening means the midnight shows make a lot more sense as they are really on Friday night now.
  5. yeah Scotland have it from the 27th june.
  6. how to train your dragon has been pushed back a week to the 11th of july. it now has previews on the 15th of june (mid afternoon only, 3D only), the 28th and 29th of june (all day, all formats) and the 5th and 6th of july (all day, all formats) transformers is moving forwards to Saturday 5th july (same type of opening as Bad Neighbours had a few weeks back)
  7. we've got loads of bookings for Maleficent tomorrow.. most bookings we've had for anything for a while actually.
  8. we had a massive day on xmen yesterday. out of nowhere because thursday and friday were decent but in line with expectations. but yesterday just exploded. bookings for today are looking a lot quieter though
  9. Does anyone know why How To Train Your Dragon 2 has an advance screening on the 15th of June? It's released on the 4th of July, and there are previews on the 28th & 29th of June (fair enough, Saturday & Sunday previews the week before are pretty standard), but there's also one on Sunday 15th?
  10. we only had an early evening show on Bad Neighbours but it was nearly full.
  11. yeah it will be everywhere with 3 or more screens which is obviously like 95% of all cinemas. We've had a quieter day today. Think everyone is getting ready to go back to schoolwork tomorrow. The weather hasn't helped either.
  12. yeah Easter Sunday is usually quiet. our first show of Spider-Man is actually up on yesterday though. Muppets also up, but Rio down.
  13. We're down very slightly on Spiderman and Rio. Up on Noah & Love Punch. Muppets flat.
  14. We never showed it on Wednesday and Thursday as we didn't get told about the date change until too late. It's much bigger than Captain America's first Friday here though
  15. Great day for us on all films (except Muppets). Noah and Rio both good. Love Punch very good. Spider-Man fantastic
  16. Rio and Muppets are both suffering from being sequels no one asked for
  17. yeah yesterday was our best day so far on Rio. It should only improve as we get closer to Easter really. We weren't even told about the previews on Spider-Man.. pretty annoyed about that
  18. it is a 9 day opening. they may as well just change the opening day to Friday 2nd.
  19. i did hear Fault In Our Stars might be getting a date change.
  20. we've had a big increase with captain america today
  21. Under The Skin - £189k this weekend Labour Day - £277k About Last Night - £172k Starred Up - £493k another quiet weekend
  22. yeah the scheduling is very strange with muppets and captain America both next week, then Rio, Noah and Divergent the week after when the last 2 or three weeks have been dead. it's the same at the end of aprilstart of may and then june is absolutely rammed
  23. We started with GBH this weekend and have been pretty pleased with it - it's doing a lot better than I expected. Very strange looking film though. We've also got A Long Way Down which is doing OK, especially if it's going to open nationwide under £500k Muppets is pretty quiet compared with what I was expecting.
  24. Lego has had a massive drop at my cinema today. really huge. well over 50% down on last saturday.
  25. the 2nd of may bank holiday weekend seems wide open for a major release. can't really understand it
