if it follows our usual holiday pattern here then today should be the slowest of the midweek!
wednesday will be absolutely crazy. wouldn't surprise me if we sold out all the shows of peabody & lego plus the evening of monuments men.
not sure how much Valentine's Day is distorting things, but Monuments Men is doing really well here.
Lego is top, closely followed by Monuments and then Peabody is doing about 70% of what Lego has done
i can't see Veronica Mars doing even as well as Serenity a few years ago which didn't do much.
March is looking like a shocking month for the UK (until the final weekend)
literally the only major film seems to be 300: Rise of An Empire and I think that will open big and then die.
is there anything i'm missing?
Maleficent is released on the 30th which is the tail end of Half term here - the schools go back on Monday the 2nd. The only kids film for the main holiday week is Postman Pat at the moment
Endless Love does open on Valentines Day, yes.
Nut Job I don't think has been picked up by a UK distributor yet, but after the US opening I'm sure it will be soon. Someone like Eone will probably get it and release it May half term which is looking quiet for kids films
frozen incredibly strong again today here. the hobbit is still doing well but has tailed off in the last few days.
last vegas has opened really well - really pleased with the business that is doing.
mandela is fairly slow but should (hopefully) do better midweek.
Yep The Hobbit and Frozen are by far and away the busiest films at my cinema. This week might actually be the busiest week we've had on both so far (the week between Christmas & New Year is always crazy)
Anchorman picked up loads yesterday though actually after a fairly slow first week.
Walking With Dinosaurs and Moshi Monsters are doing terrible
