Yeah I liked the sort of Casino Royale route they seemed to be taking towards the first half of the movie and then it just sort of became generic action movie. -
My guess is anywhere from $25 to $50 million.

I don't know if I'm prepared to see this 3-hour beast of a movie tonight. I'm starting to get kind of scared and I'm in too deep to back out now. Any tips?

There's a very real chance this doesn't make the same increases Cap, Spidey, Godzilla, and X-Men did from Friday business to Saturday seeing as how they were all April-May and this is late June. In which case this might actually fall short of $90 million this weekend. Paramount's gonna need a lot more than Puerto Rico to fudge that.

Well Baumer near-hating TF4 might be a sign the GA might not like it as much as the other three. Not saying Baumer represents the GA more than the rest of us but he did like the TF films a lot more than most.

I've considered it. I was giving the movie the benefit of the doubt for the longest, but it looks like it's going to be more TF2 than TF1.

I feel the first Transformers got pretty much all of this right, except for the running time thing of course. The plot was simple, the human element actually flowed well with the introduction of the Transformers (even if it was silly itself) and the action scenes weren't ridiculously drawn out.

Would be interesting, though I don't know how "sophisticated" you can try to make Transformers before it ends up being even more silly/ridiculous than it is now. Besides, Lady Chastain is with Lord Nolan now. She's in a better place.

This thread needs more Anthony Anderson- Agreed. I like Wahlberg but Johnson would have been a much better fit, plus the charisma he brings to the table is on par with 90s Will Smith IMO. I think the guy will do wonders for San Andreas next year. Seems like a perfect fit for him.

I've never seen Battleship and don't plan on seeing it but I highly doubt the visuals match anything Bay has done.

TF4 previews were lower than TF1's 8pm previews from 2007.
