  1. This is something I feel everyone glossed over rather lightly. Sony seriously dropped SM3's midnights from $10 million to $7 million just so the new one wouldn't look like as much of a disappointment.
  2. Maybe that's the reason they are fudging it. They didn't want the only Friday opener of the series to end up under the 3-day opening TF3, which had a Wednesday start and was coming off of the worst received film in the series. That's all I got.
  3. I doubt Katniss cares too much seeing as how she's going to beat it by at least $50 million or so. $100 million isn't even worth fudging to anymore. It isn't the OW milestone it used to be for established franchises. Let alone one that has already been there.
  4. Thank God, DOFP didn't completely crumble this weekend. I think it still has enough for Fox to squeeze it past X3, especially since they'll still be tracking dailies in October/November.
  5. This 1000 times over. Honestly this could have been the ultimate popcorn movie of the summer had a fucking hour been cut out of it.
  6. 14 hours and I still have no idea what's going on. I think I'm done drinking for the next few weeks. I just need DOFP to have a good Saturday and I'll be happy.
  7. I knew Dragons would underwhelm. I was never sold on it as much as I love the first
  8. tf4 has to drop 20% or less on Sunday to get $100 mil. of course paramount will PR it if it doesn't get there
  9. I got like 12 Marky Mark quotes from TF4 so honestly it did everything I wanted it to do
  10. I fucking love this scene. Seriously my second favorite movie of the year, just behind DOFP. This, however, ranks as what is probably my favorite single scene from a film this year. I just love it. The morphing of biblical legend and science, its like the movie I always asked for. And yes I'm fucking drunk as hell right now. Hail Nolan.
