    You can really tell they are kicking themselves in the ass about changing "All You Need is Kill"

    Man what the hell happened this year. Cap and Lego are leading the year both with a $250-260 million gross and neither of which sold 30 million tickets when you take out 3D. Let's hope Nolan, Katniss, and Disney/Marvel can make a huge November to compensate.

    Just out of curiosity did we get a 3D share for Dragon's weekend the other day? The average for animated films has been below 30-35% recently and if you all remember the first HTTYD had a 65% share. Just saying I think that is one thing we might all be overlooking a bit. Not that it isn't underwhelming, just maybe not as terribly as we think.

    I will say though HTTYD2's run is really bumming me out.

    Don't worry, DOFP did well Thursday and should hold well this weekend.

    Dragon being dark isn't what is hurting it. Toy Story 3 faced similar criticism from the usual overly concerned parents and did $415 million. I loved HTTYD2 but I don't think the contents are the reason the movie is underperforming.

    I feel like I should go back home sometime and take my grandpa to see Jersey Boys. He loves Clint Eastwood and when I told him he was directing it he got interested. Guy doesn't go to the movies that much anymore, he went more in 2012 than in the 25 years prior, and only because we ask him to come for family outings and seeing how he went with us to see several movies the past couple of years I think I'm gonna take him to see it.
