Wow! Good hold for Boxtrolls after the string of weak legs among animated/family movies in the past few months, glad to see it doing well on Week #2. Too bad Book of Life could cut its legs

Good for both! Exciting start for the month Annabelle is doing well here in my country too. Gone Girl opens next week but I don't expect it to smash although the book is popular

Box-Office with an outstanding P62.4 million on its first five days of release (opened Sept. 17) outrunning all other films that simultaneously opened that week. The movie clinched its place as the 3rd Biggest Opening Weekend for a Fox film this year (“X-Men: Days of Future Past” being the 1st) and is now the 4th Biggest Opening Weekend for a Fox film all-time (again succeeding “X-Men: Days of Future Past”) so far. “The Maze Runner” has exceeded expectations and is also currently tracking higher than previously released YA (young adult) blockbusters such “The Hunger Games” and “Divergent.” Rated PG by the local censors board, “The Maze Runner”opened in more than 170 screens nationwide and has thus far reached a wider demographics outside the books’ fan base. Tombstones also opened here in the Philippines. Anyway, cheers to modest budget for The Maze Runner! I hope the sequel will also have a a controlled budget like that Looks like Dolphin Tale 2 will end around what Muppets Most Wanted did. So that's another family movie sequel this year performing below their predecessor (Muppets 2, Rio 2, Dragon 2, Planes 2 and now this)

Glad The Maze Runner made it to 32M, the initial forecast of 24M was really disappointing, good thing it didn't happen. That's also solid for This is Where I Leave You, with just $19.6M budget, it will be profitable in the end.
