  3. Yeah the leg room for MOA Imax is not that good but I like the screen. But I think North Edsa is just fine especially you're from the North, it's not practical to travel all the way to MOA for that
  4. Yup I was a child then but those days are over though since local soap opera rule the primetime now but still superheroes are big in the country
  5. ^ It Takes a Man scored $7.5 million with lower ticket prices (local movie ticket usually costs cheaper than hollywood blockbusters) and no 3D so I think $8 million is way too low for Iron Man 3 and with the very wide release it should be huge. There's no major competition until May 15 with Star Trek
  6. Iron Man 3 opens in roughly 95% screens in the country! Just watched it and I was entertained Lots of people already for weekday screening
  7. Iron Man 3 opens tomorrow! How high will it go! SM Cinemas, the largest one here, will show Iron Man 3 in ALL of its 200+ screens.

  10. Studio is reporting that It Takes a Man and a Woman earned 300 million pesos so that's around $7 million already. With this great performance from a local movie then what more Iron Man 3? I'm excited! Haven't seen Oblivion yet, maybe tomorrow or Monday after work. I wanna watch Olympus Has Fallen too. I just need to find time haha
  11. While The Weinsteins do well with their Oscar movies, their attempts to revive franchises (Spy Kids, Scream and now Scary Movie) are failures
  12. I'll see both Oblivion and Olympus this weekend as well. I'm very happy The Croods is holding well so far despite low opening, looks like its benefiting from summer now that the children are on vacation I'm thrilled that we already have $5 million earner early on! I think it has shot to end with $6 million before Iron Man 3 takes over
  13. It Takes a Man and a Woman is a smash $5 million in 2 weeks! GI Joe 2 did really good as well #2 already on year-to-date ranking. The Croods after a slow opening had nice holds for a solid gross

  16. Star Cinema reported that It Takes a Man and Woman already grossed 200 million pesos in 8 days (March 30-April 6) so that's around $5 million already. BOM number will be lower for sure but that's very impressive. And with Iron Man 3 coming in 2 weeks, April's box office will be huge
  17. First THG movie sort of underwhelmed but it will grow with the second movie but I'm thinking 5M, i don't think it will reach Twilight level just yet.
  18. Friends and lovers as well When we watched It Takes a Man and a Woman there's a variety of audience from families to groups of friends to couples. The office crowd is a good demo to reach movie as well. Sure downloading is still prevalent but it doesn't have a big impact compared when pirated DVDs were popular before (there's still piracy but it kinda slowed down these days)
  19. Didn't 3D rereleases meant to be advertising platform before? That was Lion King 3D's purpose until it became an unexpected hit
  20. Admission's budget is low and it actually surpassed that already, still a flop but not a big money loser
