Civil War needs to hit $200m opening weekend then by that logic. Basically the same cast as two films that did $1bn+ worldwide. I'd be surprised if it doesn't or even gets close to it say 190+ plus I think it will fly past a billion especially with the addition of Spider-Man

Iron man opened to $102 million in 08 with no 3D. He was a b list character and not very known. Say what you want about critical reception and momentum of sequels but bvs opening to under 170 is poor in context

IM3 came after Avengers euphoria. BvS is coming after mixed received MoS and it has been the most prejudged film ever. I was expecting a bit more too (Ultron territory), but critics have destroyed that chance. I am not saying that BvS could have managed SW7 opening. Probably, not even TA or JW. But I think the gap relative to Ultron opening could have been quite smaller if the viciousness had not been so big. Do people think that difference in quality between IM3 vs Ultron and BvS is really 79% vs 75% vs 31%? It is a bad joke. Yeah I know it had momentum from avengers but seriously batman, superman and Wonder Woman in the same film. No excuse at all. I watched bvs. Gave it a 6/10. Def has problems. I gave ultron a 9/10 and im3 a 8/10

Yes money is money but quality is more important to the viewer. People don't watch films because they have made money for the studio or because they have broken records. They watch because they are invested in the characters and the story, something the mcu has done an amazing job at. So far the DCEU has 2 films with very questionable quality which doesn't bode well going forward Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Either people don't do their homework and see that the territory release schedule is different from the first film to the second, or they are simply trolling to try get a an angry reaction from someone.

nikki's numbers sure are hilarious, however atleast we get super early ranges to have a laugh and giggle about truth is though the actual estimates will prob fall in those ranges lol, where exactly only god knows and by god i mean rth

well cars 1 and 2 are definitely not their strongest entries like (insert title here as there are too many too mention lol) but i personally think they are solid films that belong in the pixar library. You a fan of animated films ssjrem?? if so you should get around to watching them as i think you would enjoy them

Once again Disney/Pixar deliver the goods. Has there ever been another studio like Pixar that has produced such quality movies year in year out?? Their track record is pretty much flawless. Watch MU last night with my fiancé and it was just amazing. Their movies have soo much heart and depth.

No need to freak out guys. When all is said and done MoS is gonna have a healthy increase in box office over prior superman films. Batman begins is considered one of the greatest superhero films and look how much it made(not that it was a disappointment BO wise). This will blow past it and imagine what future instalments will make.

Yeah definitely, It's clear that Disney has been quicker and more effective in their set up and execution to their plan but that doesnt mean Warner bros has lost. Better late then never I guess. I think if they take disneys approach to it all and somehow tweak it and put their own little stamp on it they can do really great things. If they start doing flash and Wonder Woman along with MOS sequels and make it clear in the marketing that they somehow belong with MOS and then once they have the faith and confidence of the general public reboot green lantern and then that's given enough breathing room to start batman up again and then within all this introduce the slighly more secondary characters like green arrow and shazam and then before you know it your perfectly set up for a justice league motion picture
