  1. The only thing it seemed she did unequivocally better was the yoga. But I'm guessing most of the whining like that isn't coming from folks who watched it.
  2. Poor quality recording of the trailer leaked. I don't have a working link, but probably not hard to find.
  3. I think its more likely Sony wants to do any Spider-Man related announcement themselves, or at least together with Marvel.
  4. Its not like Avatar didn't have 10+ years to beat WF to the punch. Not gonna fault this movie for Avatar's decade worth of delays.
  5. Yeah, you really need to come out and say it straight, like Superman vs the KKK. The more you cover something in allegory the more people are going to miss it. edit: That said, there are going to be people who miss it anyway, like some idjits accusing Star Trek of suddenly being woke. Or being surprised that the machine Rage Against The Machine was raging against wasn't a microwave.
  6. I thought the last episode was good. This and the first two episodes were the best, the third episode was ok, with the 4th and 5th feeling like episodes from a different, blander show.
  7. He's not wrong. Everyone needs someone(s) to tell them their bad ideas are bad, instead of telling em they're like poetry, they rhyme.
  8. One thing Marvel has going for it over Star Wars is there wasn't that huge gap between the OT and PT (and then PT and ST) for Marvel. That gap allowed fan's idea of what Star Wars was to solidify in a way that hasn't happened with Marvel. That has hampered Star Wars to a degree that Marvel hasn't had to worry about.
  9. And Star Wars borrowed from a film called The Dam Busters, which was based on a real RAF operation in Nazi Germany during WW2.
  10. Kind of weird all the noise over the kiss when it wasn't even noticeable; I missed it completely. Also, it's a little weird to think about how in the Toy Story 'verse, this movie would've come out in 94/95. In our universe, I don't think that kind of positive depiction of a same-sex relationship, however brief, would have even been in a mainstream movie at the time. Especially not one suitable for kids. Chasing Amy was the first mainstream movie I saw with gay characters that weren't depicted negatively or as stereotypes. That came out in 97 and was fairly cutting-edge at the time, and was definitely not for kids.
  11. The trailer that played infront of Jurassic World had that version, Bale was still in it though.
  12. Love the Scott Pilgrim influence here. First two episodes are really good, better than any other Marvel show at the same point so far. Vellani is amazing, yet another Sarah Finn casting grand slam. Rest of the cast is good, too, especially the dad.
