I kind of agree with you, but also kind of don't. Most of the Sandman stuff was better than Venom and Emo-Man, but the retcon of Uncle Ben's death involving him was worse than both of those things combined. edit: Actually, I kind of liked the emo Peter stuff, it's just that Uncle Ben aside, Sandman was better.

That they significantly improved Civil War from the comics gives me some hope here, but yeah.

You're not the boss of me. Back to the Future had pretty major reshoots, and even replaced the lead actor, and it's one of the best movies of all time. World War Z reshot a huge chunk (maybe all?) of the third act, and it was still a decent film. FantFourStic had major unplanned reshoots, even having to cannibalize the 3D Conversion budget to do them. I don't need to mention how that movie turned out. Basically, reshoots aren't some kind of harbinger of a movie's quality, not even major ones. They're just a normal part of film making.

This is gonna be another Snow White And The Huntsman situation where the Queen is "fairer" than Snow White? Though the difference won't as big as that movie, the Queen really shouldn't be the prettier of the two.

This is pretty much the story. Paul was fairly boring and one note in the book. I found Jessica to be the better character there.
