I'm more of DC fan than Marvel, but I hope Civil War does great at the box office.

If Allegiant didn't drop 70% in its 2nd weekend, then neither is Batman v Superman.

I just think China prefers Marvel movies. And that's not really a bad thing. It's still going to get around 100m, which is still pretty good.

If Civil War has good word of mouth and better reviews than Batman v Superman..... but makes less at the box office, will it be classed as a disappointment?

I think people was more mad at him making assumptions that Snyder would be fired and that Justice League would be delayed for a Batman film. So far he isn't right.

After the awful reviews it's had, WB will take any good news at the moment.

Yeah.... not bad considering it's been considered one of the worst superhero movies of all time by some.

Going to see BvS tomorrow at 10am IMAX 3D, will only cost me £5 as well. Also going to see Zootopia tomorrow.

Wouldn't surprise me, just like it dropping quite a bit wouldn't surprise me. I honestly don't think they should take that CinemaScore seriously at the moment.

And the fact they're using that CinemaScore as gospel is a bit weird. Anyway, still hoping for strong holds for Saturday and Sunday so it does at least 170m.

It's very possible. He's a director you simply love or hate. I really liked Batman v Superman myself, but I can also see why some people would hate the movie.

I'm just hoping the Saturday and Sunday drops are strong, because under 150m would be very concerning.

Anywhere between 150m to 160m is a bit of a concerning number. Over 170m would have been good.... but 155m is a bit of a disappointing number, and I just can't see it getting close to 400m if it does that number.

But the also can't afford to keep a director who will barely get them a profit for this.... there's no way the Justice League will generate the amount of buzz BvS got with Snyder in charge.

Yeah.... it's not impossible for them to actually delay the Justice League. Let's say it just about makes 800m worldwide, and with awful reviews, with the meh word of mouth, with the meh legs. It would be a disaster..... and Snyder have to be let go. There's no way WB could put a positive spin on this. All assumptions at this point, but I suspect WB will checking the box office every day for the next 3 weeks pretty closely.

Besides, plenty of people was always going to show up for a movie with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. The Justice League is another story. I doubt it'll get the same buzz BvS got if Snyder is still in charge, in my opinion.

If this movie only does 800m worldwide, he'll most likely be shown the door.

Jeez, I thought this thread was bad..... I just been on the SHH box office thread that some people are saying BvS won't cross 800m worldwide.
