  1. MU should make over 48m, WWZ should make around 30m, The Heat should make 36m to 38m, White House Down should make around 25m.... and MOS should make around 21m. Very good numbers for WWZ, MU and MOS. Okay number for The Heat, and an absolute terrible start for White House Down.
  2. MU is impressing me. Great numbers, especially with the competition it has to face.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if it got 30m this weekend. This movie is certainly doing better than I thought it would.
  4. I feel with the new competition coming in, it will take some of the box office away. And I honestly don't feel it's the type of movie to have that strong of legs.
  5. Would you say that is an indication of the start of Man of Steel's numbers stabilising?
  6. I'll see how Man of Steel performs this weekend before I make any judgement of its legs. I suppose it was a risky time to release a reboot of Superman film.
  7. I actually had MOS making 300 domestically and 450 overseas before it was released, so I don't know how anyone can call it flop if it makes over 700m.
  8. It's possible, but it needs about 15m from the weekdays and 25m next weekend. I wouldn't rule it out.
  9. There's no chance MOS is getting 70m. lol
  10. If MOS drops more than 60% next weekend, there will be no excuses. I don't even think Kal can defend it.
  11. You can't really judge the legs yet, because it's had to compete with an overperforming WWZ, and a slightly overperforming MU. I do think some people are being harsh on MOS, and I do think the numbers are misleading with what I've just said about above. You could factor in and say Man of Steel overperformed in its opening weekend and is evening itself out. It was always going to be tough for it to make 50m this weekend, especially with WWZ making 66m (I mean, not many people expected that) and MU making 81.2m; that takes up 147.2m of the box office, which doesn't leave much to go around for any other big weekend numbers.
  12. Except, Cars 2 and Bad teacher opened in Green Lantern's 2nd weekend and only opened with 97.7m between them, compared to WWZ's and MU's 150m between them. So Green Lantern's fall is a lot worse than Man of Steel's.
  13. I wouldn't say it's gone, but it needs a few nice weekdays or a nice weekend bump to get it there.
  14. I still see MOS making 300m domestically and about 450m overseas, which is still pretty impressive for a reboot.
  15. I see MOS making 12.7m for Friday, 17m for Saturday and 14m for Sunday. Not great but expected if you look at things closely.
