  1. I was on holiday and it was raining most of the time lol It was worth it every time. I'm pretty sure most Nolan fans will watch OP at least five times this year.
  2. No way it grows late legs. The core who appreciates MI films want to see it on the big screen. That's how it was marketed as well. I saw MI7 5 times within 10 days of release. Zero viewing since then. If DR1 would have IMAX and PLF in August, sure enough it could have hit FALLOUT numbers, its OW is clear evidence. It ain't happening now. Barbenheimer smashed it pretty big and no way back domestically.
  3. BIGGEST DOMESTIC 3rd WEEKEND: BARBARA 1.2m ahead of MAVERICK. 1 Jan 1, 2016 Star Wars Ep. 4. Amazing market indeed. A fun Barbenheimer race. Expecting OP to have better holds from now on. Does MI7 have a shot of catching FALLOUT?
  5. To all the haters: DR2 is peace. There cannot be peace without first, a great suffering. The greater the suffering, the greater the peace. The end you've always feared is coming: DR2 franchise best numbers.
  6. TC doesn't matter as much as scren counts Like HM keeps the theater count, but its showtimes will decrease. One screen cinemas ultimately lose films, but where the big bucks made films get a decent run for weeks. Expecting OP to keep showing strong legs, IMAX demand still at peak.
  7. Personally I loved the third act, What follows the Trinity sequence is an absolute acting masterclass and the pace and the editing with the score is just cinema at its best. Also a strong ending but that is expected from Nolan. He has nailed some incredible endings throughout his career. Hard to even rank them lol Inception. TDK. The Prestige. Memento. All epic.
  8. BIGGEST DOMESTIC 2nd WEDNESDAY: Barbara best ever in the summer, 0.4m ahead of MAVERICK. 1 Dec 30, 2015 Star Wars Ep. 9. Criminal stupidity by Paramount. Cruise obviously wanted the summer release because the plan was to start shooting DR2 after the publicity tour in August. However when Universal decided to stick with Op's release, Paramount should have moved the date. Especially when the SAG strike was obvious to happen, so the filming plans were crushed. It was clear that Indy would flop after Cannes. They should have released it at least a week earlier. Cruise clearly didn't want just a limited IMAX run, absolute bottle job by the studio,
  10. BIGGEST DOMESTIC 2nd TUESDAY: Best summer 2nd Tuesday ever for Barbara 1 Dec 29, 2015 Star Wars Ep. VII: The Force Awakens $29,528,583 4,134 $7,143 $600,949,526 2 Dec 26, 2017 Star Wars Ep. 11. 16 weeks consecutive #1 on the UK charts! SIXTEEEN!!!
  12. Soundtrack massively aided TOP GUN, THE BODYGUARD, TLK, TITANIC etc. the list is long. It was one of the reasons MI2 performed well too. Worst film in the franchise but had the most killer soundtrack. It's basically free marketing that extends the buzz around the film.
  13. The air combats are back with DR2. Think we might see a small amount of TGM halo working if they nail the trailers. Even if someone is a hater, you can't downplay the behemoth that is Barbenheimer. Not to mention direct demo kill that is SoF. I would be more worried about DR2 if the quality wasn't there with DR. Everyone wants to see Hayley and Pom kick more ass.
  14. Very strong market for OP. Nice to see. Can DR catch FALLOUT?
  15. If anything after Paramount blew the release for MI7, Cruise has even more power. Without him Paramount would probably had gone bust or would be in a very poor shape. MI7 still going to be their biggest hit of the year. When Cruise made a film for Par the last decade, he delivered almost all the time. 2022 TGM highest grosser for Par, #1 domestic overall 2021 no TC, best Par film #8 2020 no TC, best Par film #24 2019 no TC, best Par film #32 2018 FALLOUT highest grosser for Par, #8 overall 2017 no TC, best Par film #24 2016 REACHER sequel #56, best Par film #16 2015 ROGUE NATION highest grosser for Par #8 overall
  16. FAST X did ok. It floats between flop and a respectable return and it is closer to a flop. It is definitely losing money. ELEMENTAL and TLM are making more revenue. It's doing less than the previous entry that came out during covid. China inflates its worldwide tally, but in reality the studio will see 30m max revenue from that. It is also a rotten film. Universal gotta somewhat control the budget for the next one.
  17. 1. Avengers: Endgame 2019 £43.4 Million 2. Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2015 £34 Million 3. Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021 £31.9 Million 4. Avengers: Infinity War 2018 £29.4 Million 5. Star Wars: The Last Jedi 2017 £28 Million 6. No Time To Die 2021 £25.9 Million 7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 2011 £23.8 Million 8. Toy Story 3 2010 £21.2 Million 9. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 2019 £20.9 Million 10. Skyfall 2012 £20.2 Million
  18. You might be right. I remember doing a TDK/WALL-E double bill, so WALL-E must have opened during that time as well. Not a bad July haha
  19. MAMMA MIA won the year and TDK finished 3rd, just behind BOND. You can't ask much more from two films opening the same weekend.
  20. THE DARK KNIGHT and MAMMA MIA. Something about Nolan and a female driven sensation lol
