  1. well people are going to need help with their parents when xmas comes around
  2. ooooooooo "The Hunt". I'll reserve a spot here 😁 i hope The Kitchen doesn't revolve around trapping loveful memories in a chest and burning it in the basement, but empowers us to be loners and embrace our dolls in the kitchen. i'll try to choke on some candy when i see that if it doesnt go my way
  3. yeah, i'm pretty bummed out Bowfinger made the top 25 of 1999 with all that data. whatever BOT.... i'm bummed like it will affect my personal feelings of how i see people going forward
  4. hope they get back to using themes like this in the future action movies, especially all the upcoming WW2 movies!!!!
  5. i hope McCarthy gets in even though it looks like she won't.
  6. these people need help though! this is important. Shrek isn't important though, is it? it doesn't shove on the boundaries - have fun then...... talking about it. - sure as soon as you give back that oxygen you stole/suck out of the room 😐
  7. if Neil is getting those kind of reactions, then i don't think he spoke enough about it. again, it seems like those reactions are from people that can't be talked to.
  8. really Smash Mouth? you can't be talked to, can you?
  9. relapse stories are the worst to hear about. it's like a child updating you on potty training. best to dry out, smoke weed and get all paranoid and curl up into a ball and live with anger and look at stuff and exercise. there is nothing going on out there, it's just culture is still perky. everyone would be jealous wanting to see each other and keep up with each other. gotta find your way around it, and take over your reputation by being a skilled animal expert and giving political and anti-religious speeches.
  10. yes professor.... lol. can you think of a bunch of movies recently that compare to Parenthood? all i can think of is Green Book and What's Eating Gilbert Grape? they are sooooo boring, i'd have to fail them at 77%/C+, tied with the best picture winner (Green Book) for merit. would Parenthood make it on your list above the action movies of 89? How does something like Boyhood become mainstream? It's like the best of family sitcoms at the theater. I need to go to more of those like Boyhood when they are sold out on Friday nights on the 4th weekend (when it's not XMAS). I think Parenthood had like Passengers legs to 100M I was 3 in 1989 and I think one of the first movies I saw was Little Mermaid, All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Rescuers Down Under and Balto. The animation from all of them terrified me. Aladdin was even worse feeling like I was getting suffocated at first. and I refused Beauty and the Beast, hid into my parents, and declared myself allergic to that movie for like 10 years.
  11. all the movies look terrible. does anyone know me well enough to make a prep-list of 50 movies i should see that year that fits in my culture scenario/upload that i can benefit from. i don't want to hear 80s music or see sex comedies from those times because that culture shouldn't exist anymore. how are the foreign films? 😃 thanks for the help. i'm not going to suffer through all of these like the movie watcher/categorizer i am. is the James Bond one even good? thanks!
  12. it's scary, only in their minds, my young padawan

  14. 62 lists. the time spent with attention to detail listening to and remembering Fight Club and the number of Star Wars worshippers. Fight Club - 680 points Star Wars - 155 points this is a cultural influence that has bothered me for almost the entire time these movies have been out. There is so much to play with in The Phantom Menace too, but it is as ignored as any Pixar movie, when it comes to recapturing the detail of a movie, and taking the structure of the story seriously.
  15. i wish i could just wish away my feelings i'm not the Jedi i should be. I get angry.
  16. nothing ever seems to go right... any members remember Man on the Moon being a cult hit xmas 1999? Christmas of 2000 had lots of consumer appealing movies screening trailers for the Mummy Returns and the upcoming box office records. Man on the Moon was only up against like Stuart Little.
  17. so is this movie at least running right now like a rollercoaster inside a giant closed stadium constantly running. what are they doing right now?
  18. hun, i am really sorry about Roma loosing best picture there. hello? Saito? Saito? Saito? Saito?
