  1. @grim22 what is the max number of movies we pick? what are their partial points?
  2. how come so many like-minds front the 12 step program and al-anon, like it is the only choice you got to get to freedom, and its either change your attitude and complete the course, or go homeless? do movie directors have that slave infested authoritarian mind? @Nolan?

  4. boy that Felicity Jones sure did good as that Ruth Bader Ginsburg. she talks real well, the way she breathes and places her words. i can really keep up with and understand her. she sounds human! when someone steers you in conversation like that, you want them to drive your car for you at double the speed limit, and take small kids on a forced personal tour at six flags where the roller coasters are twice the height and she works with them toward boarding and sits in front of you.
  5. ...these images of 'fed pets' that wait in their cages the film industry bracing when Shrek took out the 2001 summer box office????? i don't understand if Shrek had some pre-conceived thing brewing, and it's existence was an assault by Hollywood on the records?, but as a 15 year old, i was horrified how Shrek won the presidency against Pearl Harbors mission to take over Titanic and The Phantom Menace, and Jurassic Park 3. All those OW records in 2001, but Shrek still somehow won the summer, and people were cheering for it. was it an 1980s film reach around? (####) btw, I was all about Ocean's 11 crashing the box office industry and the fragile box office Guinness world records, and being as big as The Avengers, and annoying teenagers. Spider-man (2002) ruined the competition by 100M, and then Shrek 2 kept it that way and even beat ROTS.... alot of fans probably had a bad reaction to the competition... like adding to Shrek's box office was voting Democrat instead of Green Party my mock fantasy memory predix here:
  6. which men call her 'killary' and protest her running for president for being a 'law breaker'. will Americans put up strong loud arguments about how she is a law breaker?
  7. last longer here then they will against that Death Star, and maybe they'll take a few of them with us
  8. is there any deeper relationship meaning in Inception when Michael Caine says to Dom Cobb "I never taught you to be a thief.", and then Dom Cobb says "you taught me to navigate people's minds, but after what happened, there weren't a whole lot of legitimate ways for me to use that skill". could that mean like Dom Cobb locked Mal in his basement, and he was taught not to interrupt girls in mid-relationships because of some philosophy of stealing them with mind games? That he was too powerful and just being around people was like mind control? a form of Good Luck Chuck in the movie universe? edit*(i'm not saying the shoe fits close to me, i'd need to sub with different characters, i'm just wondering)
  9. but looking at the top 200 at box office, Valerian and Ghost in the Shell made 40, then Mortal Engines got to 20, and Child's Play is doing 30. These 4-5 week runs are really screwy for these premium expensive movie experiences What kept Child's Play sunk down so low on each daily?
  10. the thought of art being another excuse in life while the time goes by really settles my stomach.
  11. Rian Johnson really is directing? I still haven't seen Looper... I feel like i'd have to put on alot of weight to get through those movies. Time travel can be told any way, and these mystery movies are depressing. If it isn't Scream then go home. Minority Report has already been done.
  12. if this flops, maybe they stop making movies with 'spy' in the title and then the threads won't get bumped here...
  13. this movie and the title sound as dumb as shit! one time i went with an ex girlfriend to Long Beach on a boat for a dinner, and it was a murder mystery thing. it was just like shoot me in the head, how is that formal entertainment? why has formal entertainment found itself at its height with operas and shakespearean acted murder mysteries? its art too, right? like beauty products in movies, plays are another one that is good for the economy
