Would be good release schedule. I say WB gets bold and adds a possible 4th film in December.
Feb- BoP
June- WW84
August- The Batman
December- Batgirl?
That would be a solid 2020 schedule. Start and end the year with low budget films. Big budget films in the middle.
Very odd delay. Giving WW84 a year and a half of post production. That being said they have to be careful with the film considering critics will most likely go full force against it now that is no longer the first big female led superhero film and is following Captain Marvel.
Didn't Reeves take about 3 years between Apes films? 2020 seems like a good target.
If BoP is PG13 and gets a China release it could challenge Suicide Squad.
All upcoming films have potential to be 700 million plus films. Shazam could reach that number with the right marketing behind it.
One week totals of DCEU films:
MoS: $168.79M
BvS: $209.07M
SS: $179.10M
WW: $147.82M
JL: $130.81M
AQM: $137.42M
Aquaman opened lower than JL but has already surpassed its one week total.
I love Man of Steel and will defend it to the end but BvS Superman was terrible. Can't judge his Justice League Superman because almost all scenes were reshoots. Loved Batman in BvS but they destroyed him in Justice League.
Should do decent. Won't make a splash in the box office like Aquaman but it should be a fun family movie. Don't see critics being harsh on it unless the script is abysmal. Unless critics are bitter about Aquaman and take it out on this film.
So I'm guessing Atlan created his trident after Steppenwolf invaded Earth. I think it would have been a nice tie in if Mother Box helped Atlantis advanced technologically.
Tbh Snyder had a lot of plot holes within his own films as well. I think ignoring most of his canon is the best decision they've done.
