    It’s target audience isn’t willing to see it in a theater. Words on the Bathroom, and The Broken Hearts Club showed proof of this.

    It’s honestly not that bad for these type of films; if overseas is decent as well it could break even. Movie studios can afford to release some of their mid budget films in theaters with these results just not the big blockbusters for awhile.

    I saw it. Looks as terrible as expected. The cast is pretty good so I don’t know where they went wrong or why it looks so bland.

    Unfortunately they used three minutes and still didn't sell the movie. I think they dropped the ball with marketing, and this will probably move to spring 2021 anyway.

    Those are actually decent numbers for something like this. In a regular year, that's close to what I think it would make as a late August release.

    I havent seen bigger outlets reporting this news so i do wonder if the movie is going to be affected at all.

    I also think JK Rowling needs to take a break from social media. They need some fresh blood for directors as well, im tired of Yates.

    The trailer says 'coming to theaters' so it seems like they are still holding their cards to their chest and the release date could still change.

    I agree. Nothing is going to stop people from traveling to counties that opening.

    She can’t be any worse than Emma Watson. She sounds like she has the singing chops so she’ll be fine.

    Trolls worked because it was for families and people are starving for new product. I dont think VOD model is sustainable for certain types of films like comedies and once you start releasing multiple new films it really becomes dicey.

    Sony is writing 2020 off and not wasting any money.

    Zendaya sending that out to her 67 million Instagram followers, she'll be useful for marketing.

    She might bring in some of her audience but not a large portion to make a difference. From what Dune fans say, Chani doesn't even have a large role in the first movie.

    im assuming a trailer release soon but who knows. I would really like to know WB's plans for the rest of the year. They seem like the most optimistic studio.

    He’s a good actor but they can afford to let him go.

    I don’t expect it to be a huge Oscar player. It might get a couple technical noms but that’s probably it.

    Yeah WB is not scared of Top Gun. WW 1984 or Tenet is going to December and they will move Dune to 2021.

    I think this moves to either March, April or May 2021. I would prefer March 2021, Only Ghostbusters Afterlife and Morbius scheduled there which are both somewhat wildcards. Summer 2021 will be a bloodbath and Dune would probably get killed there.
