There is no competition like actually no competition for four weeks so that's not an issue

In their misguided enthusiasm, both @excel1 and Kal spoke about OW record, without committing to a prediction. Just like ijack does with CW. It's quite entertaining.
I still think 200 could happen based on audience reaction but not much more OW was always a pipe dream star wars will have that for the next decade

Lmao, that site is funny. I wouldn't even be mad if it was true, but I doubt it.
Their report conflicts itself in a lot of the points most importantly because WW is done filming

Isn't this only at Fandango? Or am I wrong?
No for all presales and fandango is by far the biggest one anyway. Its going to beat 30 tonight Tele's numbers only refelct that but what it does after is up to the GA
-
I thought this was anumbers based forum. Every tacking increased yesterday and presales were already higher than TDKR and AOU on monday where's all this doom and gloom numbers wise coming from, OW are critic proof for movies this big

& got $202m the entire rest of its run.
Every Memorial Day release does that but there is precedent and honesty from a series standpoint not quality this is starting to remind me of transformers and first movie loved by fans mixed by critics and a sequel that's bigger is more hated by critics, though not to an extent for bvs, but the fan reactions are generally postive
-
Transformers 5 day is over 200 unadjusted and that movie was hated ow are for the most part critic proof we will see what the ga reaction is tonight

I have to disagree there.
When a comic run sucks, it takes a few months to fix it.
It took 8 years to fix Batman movies after Schumacher's damage.
Yeah, Sony is doing a Spidey reboot after only 3 years but they're probably the most desperate studio out of the big 5.
The characters will survive no matter what look at bond or batman or superman no matter what happens there will be movies in fifty years about those characters

This is not outselling TDKR in previews
That is not the situation on the ground.
It already ha signifgnalty outsold it in presales so I dont agree

It is? Off a 150 OW, it would need a 2.33 multiplier to get to 350, which is not impossible obviously, but considering it has worse reviews and way more OW hype than MOS, which only had a 2.5 during summer weekdays, it seems difficult.
Tracking went up yesterday even after reviews I'm confident 170 will happen at the least which makes at least 350 inevitable
-
It will earn a billion simple because OS it's doubling Mos and here it's guaranteed 350 so yeah

I'm talking about the critical reviews, the fact that in some parts of Europe it's opening less than MOS and then there is a bootleg version already going around. This isn't a perfect storm and if you want to make a ton of money (over a billion dollars) you need a movie that's a perfect storm.
Everywhere around the world save France it at least doubled Mos in a lot of places it will pass mos total Ow

Well, as for Germany, no, thursday before easter friday is a normal working day. It is easter holiday season though, so there might be a whole lotta people having some days off from work.
Okay then those numbers look more impressive we will see how the weekend turns out

Also when's the last time tracking over-predicted a major blockbuster?
I mean, other than CJohn's official 300 m estimate for TFA.
Never really

All those European opening do people have Thursday off because the numbers were for a Wednesday
-
From the interanational threads all across Europe the odor Bvs was close to the total mos did. Except for France for obvious reasons
-
There should be international numbers by now

And pretty sure BvS was trending with 275,000 I read? You don't think that had anything to do with it?
per pro box office analysis the ratio of postive to negative tweets for BVSs was 6:1 yesterday so no not entirely

It caused Fant4stic to implode too. RT is a big thing.
And there have already been plenty of articles written about these reviews. Again Rotten Tomatoes was trending on twitter yesterday when the embargo lifted.
it was trending with 7,500 tweets not exactly high volume
-
Every I've looked this is tracking to earn at least .66 times higher, with china projected to out earn the entirety of MOS in the first weekend, than MOS opening weekend assuming similar reception by the GA, MOS earned 368 million overseas and since this will break 300 here no matter what than the floor WW is 900 million
