  1. Amusement ParkSwings or Slippery dip?
  2. Ender's GameLord Of The Rings Return Of The King or The Hobbit 1
  3. Bar two minutes, Avatar was simply a rerelease of a film that was already in 3D.I think they're counting 3D rereleases separately, if the films initial format was 2D
  4. Holy mother of god!Could it get any better than this!!
  5. The MPDAA hasn't included 3D - unlike NA, I think we acknowledge 3D rereleases "officially" as separate.
  6. After seeing the actuals, that seems just about right.
  7. As Battleship has sailed (somewhat seemingly unnoticed) past, The Avengers has basically no competition for a good month and a half. This is probably completely out of the realm of possibilities, but imagine it legged it's way to Titanic :/
  8. Wow. Completely destroyed even all of our optimistic expectations. So it looks like we will be having at least three $40m films for 2012.The AvengersThe HobbitThe Dark Knight Rises (lack of Ledger-scenario shouldn't affect it too much)
  9. Wow. Absolutely incredible. What's this? All of the other Avengers combined?!
  10. Lol at The Hunger Games. Imagine all other estimates drop and THGs goes up and takes the number two spot!Winning! How does this help it's hopes for $400m?
  11. Wow - but I told you all this would explode on the weekend - its a 4Q film!
  12. It went off. We were selling out our second biggest cinema ( Toy Story 3 had the biggest) hours, heck, days in advance at some points.I really don't get it either. All of those films are very close in admissions numbers.
  13. I don't have access to admissions data from before I started, but from the last 5 years, The Avengers has the Highest single day record at my work. It's a very strange Top 3 - none of the expected are in there.1. The Avengers2. Fast and Furious 53. The Karate Kid
  14. Absolutely packed at my work last night. Both 3D and 2D selling out.
