According to Tod Cunningham from 'The Wrap', The Avengers made $11m in 2 minutes in China :PTodd Cunningham 05/01/2013 11:27 AM "The Avengers" brought in $80 million from that market last summer. http://mobile.thewrap.com/thewrap/pm_105954/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=Ei17tBPoTodd Cunningham 05/01/2013 11:29 AM "The Avengers" brought in about $91 million last year.http://mobile.thewrap.com/thewrap/pm_105954/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=tHlDh3KGHe really needs to proof-read his articles.
I think second weekend range should be between $6.5-8.2m (TA).IM3 is doing great but TA was a beast of its own and it's legs were great! IM3 should do under TA 2nd weekend, but not by too much.
Many markets had extended OW that would've inflated the OS OW, and could cause bigger drops from last weekends figure. Now obviously those figures would be included in the weekday amounts but like I mentioned, those totals I have were without weekdays.
Well think about it like this:
$200m from OS OW
$150m from DOM OW (looking to be a worst case)
$50m from China
$120m from other OS markets and openers
$520m. (without OS weekdays!)
$500m seems to be a minimum.
Awesome, thanks!
Considering its 5-day was $1.8m below TA, that means IM3 had the same Mon-Tuesday gross as TA!
$40m is definitely locked at this stage. Looking towards $43-44m
