  1. Boxoffice.com: "Frozen collected $50.5 million in its fifth weekend overseas, reaching a $243.5 million cume outside of North America. The animated film is on the verge of hitting $500 million globally with a $491.8 million worldwide total. Frozen is currently in release in 43 territories. The top overseas markets for the film include the United Kingdom ($38.8M), Germany ($34.5m), and France ($30.7M). Frozen took $5.2 million from its weekend debut in Australia, reaching a $6.8 million total including previews. It is the third biggest opening for a Disney/Pixar release in the territory behind Finding Nemo andToy Story 3. The film hit $24 million in Russia to become the highest grossing Disney/Pixar animated release in the country's history. The film is expected to become the most successful Disney Animation Studios release of all time in the United Kingdom before New Year's Eve. Next weekend will see openings in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguar, Chile, Ecuador, and Colombia for Frozen. The film will be released in Japan on March 15, 2014."Great results in Oz. Next weekend it opens in South America.
  2. You are right! Frozen earned more than 8 M. in the UK only (Mon-Fri)
  3. I think Frozen should cross the 500 M. WW by the end of this year (next Tuesday). Maybe by the end of this weekend!!!! What do you think?
  4. Also Justin Bieber's Believe bombed here in Spain, he he!!! Feliz Navidad to everyone! !! ;-) ☆☆☆☆☆
  5. The Hobbit: AUJ made $7,9 M. on its first weekend last year...
  6. $ 13,55 M. Best weekend of the year here in Spain!!! 1 N The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug WB $7,047,421 - $7,047,421 2 1 Frozen (2013) Disney $1,766,302 - $10,325,383 3 3 Tres bodas de más (Three Many Weddings) WB $956,512 - $3,404,305 4 N 12 Years a Slave Deapl. $845,995 - $845,995 5 2 The Hunger Games: Catching Fire n/a $602,139 - $13,112,428 6 N Free Birds Tri $384,681 - $384,681 7 4 The Counselor Fox $292,445 - $3,445,253 8 N Diana n/a $280,554 - $280,554 9 5 Carrie (2013) Sony $280,489 - $1,422,185 10 6 Escape Plan n/a $226,023 - $1,196,294
  7. Another awesome weekend here in Spain!!! Over $ 12 M. again!!! This time without a holiday!!! Great way to end this year!!
  8. 750 M. to become the second animated movie of 2013 ;-) "Frozen has been nominated for Best Animated Feature Film and "Let It Go" has been nominated for Best Original Song at this year’s Golden Globes!"
  9. Between Iron Man 2 and Thor 2 but closer to IM2... I would say 330 M. OS...
  10. No. Not yet! Tangled made 11 M. after 2 weeks... But Tangled here in Spain was released at the end of January and Frozen has the holiday season ahead with not so much competition.... So who knows maybe it end up making more than the 20 M. Tangled made here... Also this year's number 1 movie in Spain is, until last weekend, The Croods with a little bit more than $18.5 M. (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/spain/yearly/). In 2011 when Tangled was released here 8 movies made more than that amount of money, including Tangled (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/spain/yearly/?yr=2011&p=.htm) So, 2013 is not a very good year for the film industry here in Spain... I hope that Frozen and The Hobbit 2 helped to end the year with better numbers...
  11. Iron Man 2 made almost $13 M. in Japan and Thor 2 has beaten IM2 almost everywhere so it should gross at least 440 M. OS, even with The Hobbit coming next weekend...
  12. Carrie did not do very well here in Spain. It opened in 5th position with less than $ 1 M.
  13. It was a holiday last Friday here in Spain. I saw Frozen last Saturday. In my theater Frozen was in 3 sceens at the same time and all 3 were sold out!!! Children were clapping and singing the final song as soon as the movie was over!!!
  14. Monsters University after 2 weeks: Germany 8.5 M., Spain 7.0 M. Opening Weekend: France 4.1 M. UK 5.2 M. In Germany and Spain Frozen is doing even a little bit better than DM2 (13.4 and 7.9 respectively after the second weekend for DM2)
  15. TOP 5 FRIDAY & SATURDAY IN SPAIN:1-FROZEN 2-HUNGER GAMES 23- 3 BODAS DE MÁS 4-THE COUNSELOR5- CARRIE
  16. 450 M. OS is still possible: "Thor: The Dark World crossed the $600M global mark today. The full press release from Disney is pasted below: Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World has crossed the $600M mark at the global box office (Domestic - $188.9M, International - $411.8M). This is the third Disney release (and second Marvel Studios film) to do so this year, following Marvel’s Iron Man 3 and Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University. Thor: The Dark World has already passed the total global box office cumes for Iron Man ($585M), Thor ($449M) and Captain America ($371M). The film is still playing in wide release and will open in Japan on February 1."
  17. Frozen was Number 1 here in Spain and the next Friday is a holiday so I think is going to be on top again making more money than last weekend!! ;-)
  18. Germany 6.8 (Tangled 2.3). Spain 3.4 (Tangled 5.7)
  19. It looks that the 1 B. Club is going to have a new member soon...
  20. Thanks Tarzan!!! I've been reading this forum for a log time and today I decided to write for the first time answering your thread ;-)
  21. Looking at the big american opening I think around 500 M. More or less 25 percent more than Tangled...
