  1. Yes. What a pity! The trailer looks good. I am going to see it tonight
  2. Friday's Top Five:1- ROBOCOP2- Wolf of Wall Street3- Winter's Tale4- American Hustle5- Lego
  3. It opened yesterday in Argentina with only $0.1 M. It was the worst Thursday of the year. I hope it gets better during the weekend...
  4. Actually exchange rate is worst than last year but not that bad. Avatar did $13.5 M. so Frozen´s $11 M are quite good and $13 M are not out of the picture. Let's see how the sing-a-long version does this weekend. Frozen is already Disney Animation Studio's biggest release in Argentina Lego did Ok for a February release. Let's see how it holds this weekend.
  5. Lego needed 1 week to reach $1 M. Here's this week top 5: 1- The Lego Movie: 186526 admissions, $1.06 M, New release. 2- Frozen: 115245 admissions, $0,65 M, Total $10.8 M. 3- August: Osage County: 97865 admissions, $0.56 M, New release. 4- The Legend of Hercules: 68013 admissions, $0.39 M, New release. 5- El Misterio de la Felicidad (Local movie): 67966 admissions, $0.39 M, Total $2.8 M. 12 Years a Slave released last Thursday didn't reach the Top 5. Today new releases: Winter's Tale, Robocop, Philomena and 3 local movies. Frozen Sing-A-Long version also opens today!!
  6. Frozen held pretty well from last Wed. (dropped less than 25%). And last Wed. was a holiday, right Olive? It also has the best average per showing. WOM must be very good also in China!!!
  7. Yeap! And next week children are free!!! Schools are close!! Spring Half-Term Dates Saturday 15 February 2014 Sunday 23 February 2014 Lego opens this Friday but Lego didn't do very good in Denmark and Norway last weekend... Weird cause Denmark is Lego land...
  8. In German actually it is: "Die Eiskönigin“ (The Ice Queen) and in South America is "Frozen: Una Aventura Congelada/Uma Aventura Congelante" (A Frozen Adventure) - Spanish/Portuguese -
  9. The only market remain is Japan. It did $5 M. in Switzerland (400k admissions), $1 M in Viet Nam and $1.4 in Romania.
  10. Totally agree! I was thinking the same early when I saw today numbers from SK and China
  11. Frozen Sing-A-Long version also in Argentina from February 13th. (In spanish). For the first time in history in that country a sing a long version will get to theaters!! Even during evening shows!! Disney decided to release it after the huge success Frozen songs experienced on youtube (Violetta's spanish version of Let it go -Libre soy- has more than 23 Million views on youtube )
  12. I found the Top 10 list but no numbers... Frozen still on top, Robocop opened in second
  13. Yeap! It did!!! $5.1 M in Turkey and counting!!!
  14. It is very hard to do it in american dollar cause the exchange rate changes a lot in that market. For example: 01/01/13: US $1 = 4.87598 Argentine Peso 31/12/13: US $1 = 6.48708 Argentine Peso Today: US $1 = 8.01494 Argentine Peso 2013 was a record year taking in account tickets sold: 46.942.800 (in 2012: 46.391.028 tickets sold)
  15. This weekend Lego opened on Top, August on third and Hercules on fifth. Here are the Top 5: Movie/This Week Admissions/Total Admissions The Lego Movie/119.811/119811 Frozen/69939/1733439 August/69763/69763 El Misterio de la Felicidad (Local Movie)/47678/485911 Hercules/46703/46703 2014 Top Five: 1-Frozen 1733439 2-El Misterio de la Felicidad 485911 3-The Wolf of Wall Street 409921 4-Paranormal Activity 397179 5-47 Ronin 308663
  16. Then it was not that bad, Wreck it Ralph opened with around $20.5 in the same markets. So if Lego does good in the UK, Germany and France $300 M. OS are a possibility....
  17. That would be a little less than 30% drop from last week's $50 M. There are no openings this week but a full week in China and Saint Valentine's Day next Friday. $950 M. should be locked... Let's see how it does Monday and Tuesday in China and SK
  18. As expected Lego climbed to #1 on Saturday after opening on #3 on Friday in Spain. It should win the weekend. Also #1 in Argentina with 83000 tickets sold in 3 days (Thu-Sat). Around $0.4 M.
  19. BOM finally actualized the numbers:Thor: The Dark World $638.5 ($204.7 DOM $433.8 OS)
  20. quote name="Omni" post="1251908" timestamp="1391799928"]Lego appears to be very strong in Europe, and China's 5-day weekend will be just around 13M. Still thinking $910 is a stretch.According to imdb Lego is not opening this weekend in the big european markets http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1490017/releaseinfoIt opened yesterday in #1 in Argentina and sold 27000 tickets (around $150k.) and Frozen only dropped 10% compared to last Thursday ;-)
